Prices are definitely falling on these. A few more for sale under the magic £100k mark now.

This sold on CC yesterday for 81.5k plus fees. Seems quite cheap? 2012 with 26k miles.

I thought so too, the spec is pretty much right up my street but I can see why others may consider it a bit dull.

Might just be the market and time of year, there were some other cheap cars sold on CC last night too.
There have also been quite a few other cars (not Ferrari) not meet reserve and not sell lately. Maybe a general market fall although I agree time of year will be a factor too.

Everything below a certain line is in free fall.

In Ferrari terms, this means everything from an 812GTS downwards. Limited cars are exempt - for now. But as per recent F50 result on Collecting Cars even these have softened a bit.

Expect cars often bought on finance (so basically anything sub £250k) to be hardest hit.

Just by way of update, there was a happy resolution to this (for now).

There were two fluid leaks: one was the return line to the PTU (the supply line was changed earlier on this year), so both pipes had kinked or corroded. The garage thought replacing it fixed the problem, but after leaving it a few days they could see there was still ATF leaking somewhere above.

They investigated and located the leak which required removing the PTU and putting in new seals between it and the engine and since then no more issues.

Have to say the dealer (Praters) were excellent; took the car in and got it sorted at no cost to me. The total cost of repair was £2,100 mostly because the PTU had to be dropped.

The engine management light was traced back to a faulty ambient temp sensor located on the passenger side mirror which also explains why the temperature read about 30c over! Anyone know the part number for this sensor, seems like Ferrari want the whole mirror replacing which would be absurd and costly.
Sorry to bring back an old post. I’m having similar issues with my Ferrari FF. I have a warning for low 4wd atf oil pressure. Problem is, I don’t know what fluid to replace with. I’ve spoken with Graypaul Ferrari and all they could do was sent me a list of fluids and lubricants. They can’t tell me which fluid it is surprisingly. I can see a leak, so I’m hoping to replace some pipes and refill the system. Look forward to hearing from you. Gav

Graypaul should be able to tell you what to do…
If they don’t, it might be worth talking to Paul, who is ex-master tech at Graypaul and is very good

You need to find out what fluid is leaking.

The top reservoir is probably the likely culprit, for that it's just regular ATF fluid. Dexron 3 is one I was recommended by someone in the know. It's a red colour fluid which goes into a small tank behind the passenger headlight, which is accessible once you remove the plastic engine bay cover. Go to ferrarichat.com and do a search and there are threads with pictures.

I’ve had the covers off underneath today and can confirm a split rubber hose. I’m guessing it’s a low pressure hose. Troubles is, the fluid is amber/yellow and not red as you’ve suggested. I can see the tank behind the nsf headlight but it’s doesn’t contain a red atf fluid. I thought it was motul dctf3 0.6l to use?

I need to replace my FF battery, and from the horror stories I read this could be a job for a pro. Any recommendations in North / North of London. Cheers

Hello all, I've recently sold my McLaren due to lack of use, but really quite tempted by an FF/Lusso to replace it. I bought a hot hatch to try and be sensible but I'm bored already.. We have a Cayenne for family/dog duties, but question for you owners, how reasonable are the FF or Lusso for a child seat in the back and dog in the boot? Occasional use only, but would make the whole decision to buy muc more justifiable.

2 spaniels in boot no problem. Child seat I can't comment on but there is plenty of room back there

I have historically had two car seats in the back of my FF, and it was fine. They weren’t ISOFIX, but I think it does have ISOFIX if you want. The one point to note is the bucket seats are very narrow, and thus you need a narrow child seat. For reference mine are a Maxi-Cosi Rodi AirProtect and a Recaro, which I don’t have the name of. The Maxi Cosi one in particular is tight on the seat belt buckle.

Perspective can be misleading. She had plenty of room to stretch out.
Standing wasn't necessary - after all, do you need to stand up to turn around while travelling in a car?

Of course standing is necessary for such a long trip! Do I need to stand up while travelling? No, but then I’m not a dog, for example I don’t go around urinating on lampposts to mark my territory or sniff other humans butts, do you?
