I personally don’t think the glass roof is required - in the front you don’t really get any benefit from it (I would say that as I don’t have one). I have a light interior though and much prefer the leather roof to tie the interior together (black might be different)

The nav screen will possibly pack it in at some point (mine did already) and then you can get the Ferrari upgrade one (I do not want to know what it costs - a lot probably) which I think might have car play.

I am currently contemplating running it without a warranty with the reasoning being save warranty cost on 2 cars (and run 3 in total), while hoping that overall the annual fixed cost saving will cover future repairs, esp if I can find somebody who charges less per hour than Ferrari). I am not sure yet if I am brave enough to do this with the FF though ....

Interesting point on the warranty...I'm currently exploring options. What warranty did you take out and does it cover PTU/DCT/other common faults?

Many thanks.

Having driven a V12 Lusso and looked and sat in a few FFs i agree 100% to get one with Pano roof..It transforms the ambience for rear seat passengers and according to my Ferrari dealer very difficult to shift FFs/Lussos without this option..I don't like them in Black as its too big a car to try and keep clean all the time..My choice would be one of the greys such as Silverstone or Canna Di Fucile or a Blue one.
Black with gold wheels (https://www.adv1wheels.com/gallery/black-ferrari-ff-adv5-0-track-spec-cs-series-wheels/)

But keeping a black car clean is a pain, I have 3 black cars and a BMW X7 M50d in black coming, I don't do myself any favours. I have told about Xpel PPF, then ceramic coated the PPF or something, and you just wash it with a hose.

Hi team, advice appreciated if you have a spare moment! I'm considering buying an FF as I've driven a few and heard some amazing things about living with one (I have 2 v young kids).

Any thoughts on pricing right now? I'm not sure I'd like to buy an expensive one (some 2015/6 ones are up in the 130k+ level) because I may as well go sub-100k and get a v similar car with having to worry too much about depreciation or thinking I may have been able to get a Lusso for that much next year! And I just want to drive it so will be putting on a fair few more miles.

Any thoughts on the pricing of these ones (aside from the fact they are 2012 and not mentioning PTU issues!!):

Thanks in advance.
It always amuses me when people say that the pano roof is a must have ‘because dealers say so’ or ‘because it’s great for the rear passengers’.

At the end of the day, who are you buying the car for? The dealers? The rear passengers? Or yourself?

I wouldn’t be buying either of the cars you listed. The black on black is plain dull and the other car doesn’t have enough interior carbon. You can do better. Just wait for the right car to come along.

Buy this one

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

Easy resale colours and lots of interior carbon.

If budget’s a concern then there’s nothing wrong with this one (if you like white over brown)

I like the autotrader car cuoio Toscana is very nice

Edit: both autotrader links - the one in grey

I think the FF hugely benefits from a 2-tone interior

I had diahorrea last night that closely resembled the colour of that leather! I know it's a subjective thing, but that interior would be a deal breaker for me.

I had a look at those but the colours aren't to my taste sadly.

Good point on the interior carbon though.

This one at HWM looks like a potentially good buy.

That is a good spot, shame it doesn't have the pan roof, as the contrast with the white looks really nice.

stunning in triple white however the black pano would tone it down a bit and a nice contrast..Despite what the ad says i don't think its got the high power JBL Music system as i can't see their emblem on the door speakers..
Also no mention on whether its got the Navi system with i pod, phone etc..If it hasn't got these then its a deal breaker...I assume its got them as it would be a very odd omission but why no mention.!

The hi-power system doesn’t have JBL emblems on it.

The easiest way to tell visually is if there are extra speakers high up in the C pillars.

And Nav with Bluetooth/iPhone/iPod etc is standard. Only in late models (2014/15 on I think) does Apple CarPlay become a cost option.

This one is quite unique. Nicely done interior with plenty of options and beautiful paint.

Wow they have a similar (slightly lower) mileage 612 for nearly 20k more and that is not even one of the last ones or a special edition. Looks like the FF is finally dropping below the 612 on a like for like Basis - always thought the 612 would age well / be more appreciated as time passes.

Pay for the options you want, but I wouldn’t pay more for options you don’t want “just because resale”. They might or might not make a small difference at the time of sale. I suspect though that the price difference now will be more then it is then as the overall range will compress further in absolute money terms when the cars are worth in the 50-70k bracket instead of the 90-130k bracket.

Bianco Italia looks stunning in the sun - BI with blue sterling interior is one of my favourite combinations for the Lusso

If you like white with blue interior, the cheapest LussoT is right up your Straße:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

Likely to have been driven quite hard as I've seen it in at least 2 You tube review videos including Seen Through Glass and Autocar. Don't know if that's good, bad or indifferent? You can be sure the UK distributor would want it to be tip top but otoh the reviewer would sit there just pumping the throttle at rest to capture that "right" exhaust note 🙄

This car might be a case of the owner wanting a quick sale hence the apparently good price. As for 612 vs FF values, perhaps the FF's complexity/potential big bills are off putting, along with its more aggressive looks? Either way I'd still be surprised if we saw FF's below 612's in the future.

On a personal note, having had a couple of 612's, I'm hoping an FF is my route back into a Ferrari V12 in the future.

Does look very nice (not a fan of that seat pattern on a Ferrari), even got the blue calipers. Wrong drivetrain though

And any association with any of those YouTube guys is a big negative in my book (autocar is ok, at least that’s a magazine with actual journalists) - I am old though, so not representative

I think its a different car, the one driven on Seen Through Glass has smoked grey alloys.
