Thanks guys. They're a bit of trek from me in Lincolnshire, but it's worth getting it done by someone who knows what they're doing rather than a butcher.

At least Cambridgeshire is right next door to Lincolnshire whistle

Looking at Cambridge Audio’s website shows their minimum package as over £3k and including dynamat and all kinds of stuff I’m not really into. I just want Waze on a sharper screen, my tunes to play through the speakers that are already in it, and the steering wheel buttons to still work.

I’ll give them a call on Monday and see if that’s something they’d do, but spunking thousands on fancy speakers and sound deadening seems a bit daft when you can play a V12 orchestra with your right foot.

This looks to be a really good example, with low mileage and a great spec, coming to auction soon...

I think this one is owned by a PHer and FChatter so should be well looked after.

So chaps, I tried a Lusso V12 on an extended drive recently, and was a little...underwhelmed. that engine is astounding above 4000 revs, but under that the car was a bit too civilised, even in Sport mode. Superb in traffic, sure, but no more special than the V8T. Beautiful interior, but that's available for a lot less money with the V8.

I am beginning to think that the more raw FF may be the answer. Need to test one.

Cambridge Autosound is based up at Auto Store in Foxton and though I have not used them I have used the PPF and Detailing businesses up there. Both are excellent and Cambridge Autosound is an associate buisness of Cambridge Autogleam (My detailer).

Brian's Car Sounds gave me a reasonable quote for a Kenwood installation and looking at the photos of his previous fitting in an FF it looks great. I've had to decide against it as it appears that it would invaldidate the Power 15 warranty. Quite how a new stereo could give grounds to refuse a claim on, say, a gearbox failure I'm not sure, but it's not worth the risk.

Looks like I'll be clipping my phone to the air vent for a while longer.

If this was Harry Flashman of yesteryear, there would have been an entertaining anecdote to accompany this...

I don't think I could consider a V8T....n/a Ferrari V12 is a dream proposition.

Harry Flashman of yesteryear is no longer as I'm is married (to someone i really do wish to stay married to!), with kids. Irresponsibility these days is sadly car choice and the occasional session, rather than the constant (mis)adventures of old!!

doesn't mean I have to put up with a boring Ferrari, though. That sort of misses the point.

I dont regard twin turbo V8s as dull (488 GTB is a riot but no rear seats) per se, but I get your point in the V12.

Well, if the Lusso doesn’t suit (no matter the guise) then it’s FF all the way…

I can confirm this tdf blue ff is immaculate with a very fastidious owner. I had a test drive and it was very impressive.
I will be bidding on it on behalf of a family member and will be back on here for some tips if we manage to purchase it...

Interesting, who advised you regarding the warranty? I've also spoken to Brians re the Kenwood install and was about to go ahead although needed to research whether it would affect the passenger display in any way

Nope, brother was a tight ass and did not want to bid above 80, it was me who suggested this car compared to others due to the condition and spec etc.
New owner will be happy.

Starting to seriously consider one of these after getting my deposit back on a new 991.2 GTS after seeing the prices.

What is essential spec wise on these? They don't seem as ruinous as I first though or am I being naive?
been for sale for over a year now. been down to 86k and didnt sell at that
