Also as soon as the sun shines you aren’t seeing out the front screen with that beige dash, trust me I had the same issue in a 550.
Well it seems stuck at 62k! with 2 days to go

Crikey, only 63k, I actually liked this car. Cheapest one I have seen yet.........well I have seen one only yesterday that I was with. It has been stood out side for a very long time and very neglected and not used. I will add a picture of the front wheel/brake to give you some idea of the neglect. The car would be maybe a 3/10. Very sad to see indeed wink

Winning bid - £63k, plus buyer’s fees of £6k I believe

Plus three years since it saw a workshop so a hefty bill on top taking you very close to RHD territory with proper history.

I got the 599 out for a run this weekend - epic car, I find you need to concentrate on gear changes, which I quite like as opposed to the f12 and 812. The looks have grown massively on me over the years.
Great looking car. I’m surprised anyone thinks otherwise.

Generally not a good idea buying a neglected ferrari. I think it needed to be at thatlevel or slightly below.

Iwontlietoyou - yes, with practice you can drive a 599 smoothly around town. The art is in judging how much to lift off changing up and vv changing down, but I’ve got a sneaky feeling you knew that already.
Its interesting, the R8 R-Tronic is criticised for its gearbox and yet it would seem to exhibit similar change characteristics and require a similar technique.
And no i am not comparing the R8 to a 599, just the “gearbox experience”!

Do you have a paint code for the gold ?

I don't have a paint code yet paul. I haven't decided on which gold. Now wondering whether a rose gold or bronze would look better or scrap the idea.

something doesn't look right about those brakes... too small, and i'm sure carbon rotors don't rust?

Carbon was optional on the 599, standard was steels with smaller discs.

Don't let a rusty brake rotor put you off - cheap fix if a decent drive doesn't clean them up in the first place.

Did you read the , Stood for a long time, neglected and unused bit ?
This 599 was far more than just corroded brakes.
However , maybe I have for it wrong, maybe a good run out will sort out a neglected car that has been stood outside for a long time.

Mate, I absolutely love the 599s. It surprises me how low they seem in price. I mean, look at them, there beautiful and with a V12 smile This one is a LHD one by the way and has a red interior.
The car is at a location were I happened to be. No one was around. Talking to people in other units it's been stood for an awfully long time, and it does look it to.
Thought I would take pictures of the poor 599.
