Wouldn’t have expected to particularly like this but having seen the pictures I really do! Very cool car.

Just heard from David Lillywhite (erstwhile editor of Octane, Enzo and now Magneto) that my QV has made the Petrolicious cut: i.e. as one of their curated group of show cars. Looks like it'll be in some eclectic and exotic company:

If this is some shots I assume there are more?
I’m not quite sure what is so special about this particular silver Mondial, but there is something. I’d love to see more pics.

The Mondial looks great, the colour combination suits it well. I enjoyed the video too, looks like you’ve acquired a well fettled example and it sounded wonderful being put through its paces. Enjoy!

How do you feel about the Mondial now. Looking at your garage you’ve had a couple of fun cars, in particular the SEAC.

Is this now your favourite?

Saw one today at local car meet but it had an odd dip visible in the roof line central to the wind screen.

I keep my eye on these as something I can take apart and make pristine.

A mate has just bought a Ferrari 400. When they were new I didn't like them at all. Now it looks great.

OP - your car is just the same - hope you really enjoy it! smile

I wouldn’t say that. I enjoy the variety, the differences between the cars. Their back stories, design, engineering, feel, etc. What John Pogson calls ‘Petrolheadism’ in the Mondial video. Today was a QV day. Tomorrow, I’ll probably take the 924 to work! Wednesday, my 964 gets its refurbished BBS wheels back on. Mind you, I’ve just got a new job in London so may need to rationalise!

Off-topic, I know, but here's my 1990 Porsche 911 C4 Cabriolet - reunited with its gold BBS RS wheels. (These were originally fitted by the supplying dealer.) Mondial QV and Porsche 924 in the background.

I imported them from Texas and had them fully refurbished by split-rim wizard Richie Reynolds in Exeter...

I had one of the 24 RHD QV convertibles. You can see it in the sold section on the Classic Car Hub. I had it about 6 years and returned it to it's original colour (white) and the only real thing not great about it was the interior could have done with a bit more TLC. Mechanically it was fabulous and the bodywork was nicely restored while returning it to original colour.

I changed 2 things with it, put a nice leather rimmed Nardi steering wheel that I got for a steal in the US and modern wheels in the same pattern as the OEM's so I could run Toyo's on it rather than Michelin TRX's. I sold the car with the full set of 5 original wheels and the original steering wheel though in case someone wanted it all original.

The change of wheels and tyres was a massive improvement. I would recommend it to anyone looking to drive the car a lot. Also the Toyo's in this size were £75 each as opposed to around £350 each for TRX's! http://www.superformance.co.uk/mondial/wheels.html

I’ve only ever been in 2 Ferraris, both of them RHD Mondial QV convertibles. One as a youth, metallic black with grey interior, one of my best life experiences. The other was our very own Custardtart’s red/magnolia example which he kindly gave me a drive of and which ended up in the Gosford Motor ‘Museum’.

This Mondial T's got a rather more sprightly 483bhp.

That looks amazing. Such a pretty car compared to most modern vehicles.

I remember the Mondial being launched..The design wasn't everybody's taste but i loved it especially with the four seats..Its aged gracefully and seems to get better with age..Good sign of a fantastic original design..
