Does anyone know, or have you enquired about this UK car at VVS?
Just wondering if it's been in the UK and has been off the radar, or in storage, or if it's been brought back to the UK again?
(It's not the 2008 orange car above which has lower mileage and the SL2 side stripe.)

I've spoken to them.

Serviced in the UK at Lambo in 2008.

Exported to Singapore till 2015. No service history for this period.

Brought back to the UK in 2015 and did 8 miles across the next five years, doesn't seem to have been serviced in this time.

Then serviced by VVS, 2020, 2021 and 2022 apparently.

A good spot on the wheels andrew, at the first glance they look very similar.

Good to have an original UK car back in the UK again. Looking back to page 1 of this thread, so many of the orange cars were exported.

Autotrader's advert has the date of first registration as 28/01/2008. Nearly all of the other orange cars known of then were either on 07 or 08 plates. It looks like this one is/was LJ57 FPT, shown then as registered on 28/01/2008.

Could the wheel change coupled with the missing history mean it’s been involved in an accident and the original wheels were damaged?

If you are still looking, here is a privately advertised 2008 white UK RHD car, 29,500 miles. "I have a full service history for the car and the clutch has literally done a couple of hundred miles. Completely original and unmodified, full carbon interior including steering wheel and reventon seats".

Anyone interested in a 2007 LHD orange low rear wing car now live on Collecting Cars with no reserve:

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2007-lamborghi...

"It has been in the current ownership for nearly five years. The owner has used the car for some film and TV work as well as the occasional driving experience day". From questions already answered by the owner: "The car has been used on a few driving experience days when guests can drive around a circuit but are limited to 4000rpm and no full throttle so no different to a spirited drive on country roads that these cars were designed for".
"In 2017, it was recorded as a Category D insurance loss due to damage to the front bumper and one headlight, which was subsequently repaired".
"Specific notes from the seller include: The front bumper is cracked, there are a few blemishes around the car, and the rear engine cover is cracked. Inside, there are repairs on the seat bolsters". See pictures 71 & 72 for the cracked rear engine cover with additional fixings for the engine cover glazing in 76 and 114, 115, 117, 131, 134, 135 & 136 for the seat bolsters. That's a similar amount or wear on the passenger seat to the driver's seat!
"This example now features a modified exhaust system to remove the standard catalytic convertors".

Auction ending Friday 23rd June at 7.15 pm.

Even if it was a decent UK car, I'd be surprised if it went over £90k.

But it a LHD, euro car, ex experience day car, with the worst seat repairs you've ever seen with cracked engine parts............AND it's Cat D.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's got to £38k and surprised CC agreed to list it!

It’s a lovely car however just like the gen2 me personally don’t think they’re worth what they’re advertised for, you can get into some much newer faster machinery for the same or similar money,
Some of the gen2 are up at 160k which is madness personally, I think the next 6 month with entering a recession prices will start to drop

There’s more interesting reading than initially it appears when looking at the whited-out and covered up documentation. It’s surprising that there haven’t been more questions asked but probably those still bidding are confidant that it can all be rectified if there’s enough money. Bidders probably have multiple motor trade contacts to rectify the cosmetic repairs and are prepared to take a risk on what’s not so obvious.

Blendini Motorsport are clearly familiar with this car. From the service book they’ve serviced it annually since Dec 2019. From the ‘Service history’ notes it’s also had recent maintenance work in May 2023 and other desirable or essential half year work in May 2022.

From their website: “Blendini Motorsport is a professional race team experienced in maintaining and running a wide variety of race cars from around the World.
We offer everything from complete arrive and drive GT packages to performance road car servicing” …………

Apart from performance road car servicing they also offer “Car Chase Heroes” experiences, one of which has been in the pictured orange LHD Superleggera registered L16 MBO.
https://www.carchaseheroes.com/cars/lamborghini-su... It can be seen in the ‘Documents’ section that L16 MBO was the car’s previous registration.

Similar car experiences are still advertised for the same orange LHD L16 MBO by https://www.trackdays.co.uk/experience/triple-supe...
In this case a ‘High speed passenger ride’ is also offered after the 3 mile driver experience. From a similar personal experience the high speed ride is with an experienced race car driver and fully demonstrates what the car is capable of and this part is certainly not restricted to Tomroche’s re-assuring 4,000rpm.

Interestingly from Trackdays booking data, the Gallardo is their most popular booking accounting for 20% of all their Supercar booking since April 2022:
https://www.trackdays.co.uk/news/lamborghini-is-uk...

Another advert for the same registered L16 MBO car is seen at https://www.drivingexperience.com/experience/lambo... Perhaps some are different names for the same company. A good question to ask would be – how many track day experience companies has the car been used by? - for what the owner describes as “the occasional driving experience day.”

Looking at the servicing and MOTs in the current ownership period, the 2018 MOT expired on 18th Nov 2019. The next MOT was on 5th March 2021. So the car wasn’t road legal but from the annual service record was at 40,011kms in Dec 2019 and 45,633kms in Oct 2020. If not on the road, was 5,622km all “an occasional driving experience day”?

For 2021 there was an MOT on 5th March 2021 at 54,123 km. The next annual service is in Dec 2021 but at only 46,103 kms! Is there a question there, but no-one seems bothered!

Does the cracked on both sides engine compartment lid, damaged front bumper, worn seats bolsters, mismatched door pull handles, etc really support the claim that it’s been “maintained regardless of cost” and being “one of the most cared for examples in the country”.

i quite liked :

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2007-lamborghi...

"The car has not been used on Trackdays. It has been used on customer experience days, allowing people to experience driving a Lamborghini but not driving anywhere near as quickly as you would on a track day. Customers are limited to 4000rpm and not full throttle so not putting the car under any stress."

"you can drive without a licence "
"drivers can be as young as 10 years old"

This car was sold by Dion at the Elms about 4 years ago.

He had it back up for sale about 2 years later but was wrapped orange. Didn't sell, reappeared with the wrap taken off and then sold.

Appeared back for sale privatley on AT about 6 months ago, now with a dealer so potentially on SOR.
