The 550 is a very lairy car, loads of grip in the dry, much less in the wet. Manual gearbox is very smooth.
Just wondering, is your LP550 orange...? Think I may have seen it around

I did but it was a LP570-4 Performante in the end. I didn't think I would be able to extract the same degree of performance from the 2 WD version and there were no manuals out there.

Well chuffed with the new car and think it was the better choice for me on balance

The weight difference must be ~50kg between the two, so not insignificant?
LP550 is 1350kg from memory. It's a light car for the engine size / power. Power also wasn't detuned from chatting to people who've dyno'd them. Same power as the 560 etc.

Hopefully one day it'll fall into my hands, the epitome of perfection in my eyes smile

drove an audi double clutch car for a day, thats my only experience of modern systems.....
the e gear is not as bad as made out by comparison..... maybe i tense my body, but my neck has never jerked, nor got sore, though i do see the passengers bobbing back and forth... biggrin

in attack mode, its very good, otherwise, a bit of toe lift makes it smooth.....
so, not as fast/smooth as a double clutch gearbox, but then where's the emotion in that, and skill....
Would have thought anyone looking for a 2 is also looking for the greater purity of the manual also

Are balbonis going for much of a premium?

balbonis were available new on subsidised finance deals
