Just had a 3k mile HP delivered last week and first chance for close inspection y'day. The left/right front rads look in very poor condition. You can see the line in second pic where it is ok only behind front spoiler "fin". Just been serviced as part of sale and inspection of radiatiors is part of that process, surprised this passed.

It’s only the very thin aluminium fins that are distorted. You only have to breathe on them and they go out of shape. Rads are not “damaged” per se, as in no longer operating correctly, presumably why not flagged at inspection.
If you worried about that, you’ll be replacing the rads every couple of hundred miles for what is essentially a cosmetic issue.

The fins are heat sinks. The are designed to dissipate the heat, rather than act as a conduit for airflow. They will do their job still. The performance of the radiator will be so marginally affected that it won’t make a difference really. Being that low, you’ll replace them and within a few hundred miles, they will start looking exactly the same. As for putting “some sort of mesh” in front of them, if Lambo thought they would need that, they’d have put it there themselves.
My view is this “problem” is a bit of a storm in a tea cup. OP should get a dealer opinion specifically if concerned, but unless the radiators are actually defective, unlikely Lambo will entertain their replacement.

Sorry gents, air has to flow through the radiator to be effective. As the cooling capacity is abundant in "normal" driving you get away with the fins being damaged. If you push the car hard, temperatures will be higher than expected.
If your theory that the folded-over fins are ok was true, then radiators would just be flat surfaces, much like some of the ones you see for central heating at home.

These are not the “radiators” as in engine cooling, they are the a/c condensers. As has previously been stated the fins are there to massively increase the effective cooling area of the assembly. To do this they rely on air flow, as such this amount of damage to the fins is affecting the air flow, not only for the a/c but also the engine cooling radiators which are directly behind. This will cause a lack of efficiency in a/c system and the cooling fans to work harder to cool the engine.
It's poor design to have no grill in front. Form over function.
Mine has a few of these marks (nothing like this blanket coverage though) but then it has done a fraction of the mileage and I don't tend to drive right up the back of other cars. I can easily see it getting this bad if you were to track the car or closely follow other cars at speed on poorly surfaced roads.
It is not from a jet wash or corrosion. The fins in mine are flattened where the stones have hit so it must reduce the cooling efficiency the worse it gets.

After a wait for a replacement (actually not that expensive at less than £300), it's the labour to get it all apart and of course the front bumper coming off that makes it stack up.
Anyway, it's fair to say the rads are in a vulnerable position. Supercar Services are fitting me some rad shields as I type.

I am definitely going to get it done on mine over the winter, had a stone lodged in the fins from going to Spa, the same day a friend of mine who has a Lotus had a stone hit his rad in just the right place to pierce a hole which meant leaking coolant. He ended up having to get the car picked up and towed back to the UK...
These look very much like the radiator on a Ducati Panigalle.
Which, as only an Italian could design, sits immediately behind the front wheel, so all the crud is thrown straight into it.
They are very, very delicate.
Too delicate too jet wash.
After going through a couple, when it bungs up, I just always now get the dealer to clean it.

This is a common problem and is caused by stone chips in normal day to day driving.
Much worse if you are taking the car on the track.
The issue is, if its not replaced the AC will stop working, also behind these vents is the radiator which in turn will overheat and can cause other major engine issues.
Bad design by Lamborghini but they wont entertain the repair.
Just going to have mine replaced next week.

TO be honest mine is similar now too, intact most Peformantes I have seen have been like this, just a design.
On a side note does anyone else have a weird cracking popping type noise coming from the roof when they driving over a sudden elevation change. I tend to get it when going from a decline to incline in road or turning into a junction which has a slight elevation change. Its like there is some flex and it causes something above to make a crack pop type noise.
