When I was looking for my Gallardo, I test drove several cars, majority e-gear before finding a manual LP560 UK car. After a few years of ownership I still find it amazing to drive. The e-gear was fine but the manual car for me was so much better. I also didn't want a black or white car which seems to be quite common.

I can highly recommend it, if you can find a decent one.

I drove a manual gallardo a few years ago and thought it was absolutely sublime and I don’t particularly like the e gear paddles,

I’ve seen the supercar rooms car but I don’t like the black and orange, I saw a lovely black pre lp during lockdown and was juggling finances to try and acquire but he bumped the price from 80k to £120k and then sold it for an undisclosed amount!

I would take a e gear but I’d want to convert to manual, I am keeping my eyes open currently but I’m 12 month into a 48 month plan so got 36 months to run currently
FYI: The orange bits on the black car at the supercar rooms are just stickers............Eg removeable...

The LP550-2 at supercar rooms is mine and I can confirm the orange bits on it are vinyl stickers. I also have the original black calipers which I could swap out if required.

What are you thoughts on this? Pre LP Superleggera

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2018091304...

Seems well priced compares to the standard PreLP cars.

Also, what's the E-Gear like on these?

Kind of... coming out the other side of 4 kids.
Been in the wilderness without a proper car for about 8 years.

Back in the game now! (Obviously not with Motorhub by the sound of the reviews!)

No reason at all, just as a business wouldn’t have thought they would have that level of money tied up in an asset at these tough times,

Good luck with the sale of it mate

I’m p/exing my Gallardo for a new Exige. The dealer seems happy to tie his money up In the asset, despite tough times, winter etc. Talking to the salesman, they’re really busy on sales and service so it sounds like they’re financially strong.

Don’t get me going. I’ll miss the G a lot, it’s a totally wonderful thing, and I could still be talked out of this. But It’s about change - the Exige is raw, perfect handling, shrieking supercharger, and bonkers quick. Not remotely relaxing but seriously exciting. With the exhaust valve open it’s a sound that’s right up there with the pre-LP. Manages to make the Lambo feel like a cruiser. Which it definitely isn’t.

If you’re going to go from supercar to sports car and you still want that tingling feeling as you approach the car, I can’t think of a better way.

Will update once I’ve got it.
