Pulled by the police for no front number plate

If your username is actually your registration, I'd expect them to be more concerned with the fact that you've have no MOT since December.
Thanks for the diligence The car is MOTed but for some reason the 'MOT check' portal on the DVLA doesn't think it is although the 'Reg check' and 'Vehicle check' ones do. I'm getting this resolved via the MOT testing station.
Going back to the original topic, I have no qualms with getting a plinth affixed to the front of the car. I just assumed the current plate which was fitted by the Lambo dealer but is horizontal (unfortunately) would suffice. Is there consensus on the most elegant solution for the Perf?
Most critically, what is the best way to deal with the NIP requesting information? Just submit the information and then clench the proverbial cheeks?
The lamborghini number plate bracket supplied for the Performante screws in horizontally underneath the front nose bumper and would never been seen unless you were lying on the ground looking up so should you ever wish to remove the plate no one is going to be offended by 2 small holes that you cant see.
Running no front number plate is ridiculous IMHO and what is even worse is attempting to put it somewhere else like the dashboard.
I don't know what gives some owners the idea they are beyond the law or superior to others by not displaying a legal number plate for what, Vanity ???

Because it involves drilling holes in a £5000 part. I have a stick-on plate on my 3RS for that reason, and will take my chances.
Are stick on plates not allowed? If they are the right size and font what are the issues? I don't understand the no front registration plate modification. It looks worse wedged between the dash and the windscreen than it would in the correct place. It must mark the dash, scratch the windscreen and rattle?

it's just the reality it of that on a supercar the police are more understanding, if you didn't wear one on the rear then I think they'd make more of a big deal though. the rear has to have oneI don't know what gives some owners the idea they are beyond the law or superior to others by not displaying a legal number plate for what, Vanity ???

Uhhh no, no .. front has to have one too.
as I said before, the police give leniency to those who don't wear them on the front of exotic cars there's many people who run them for many years without any incidents whereas if they don't have rears then you'll get pulled over as you're avoiding any kind of recognition
that's just the way it is.

There shouldn't be two rules, maybe they should make MOT test centers ensure number plates are screwed or stuck down with tiger seal, any car presented with no number plate should be stopped and fined £500 (unless it genuinely has fallen off) if it happens again then the car is impounded for 7 days, the same should apply to incorrectly spaced number plates and people who seem to think tinted number plates are coolthere's many people who run them for many years without any incidents whereas if they don't have rears then you'll get pulled over as you're avoiding any kind of recognition

There aren’t two rules.
MOT does require correct / legal plates properly attached to the car else it doesn’t pass. The MOT centre can not then be expected to continuously monitor the car after its left if drivers then make adjustments.
All WCZ is saying is in reality, just like more attractive people get served quicker at a busy bar, missing front plates seem to be less of an issue for super cars than your mondeos and kias.
I'm happy with the rules, but from working in one there is nothing more annoying than people with silly plates. The comment around police turn a blind eye to supercar owners because of what they are should make difference, if you have a silly plate on a Ford Fiesta or an F40 you should be treated exactly the same.MOT does require correct / legal plates properly attached to the car else it doesn’t pass. Surely what Lamborghini fit as standard to make it comply to Uk law is all you need ?
It’s about time they clamped down on stupid plates, ones without a plate and those that are now being tinted black
Absolutely why do people particularly boy racers and supercar owners think they are above the lawIt’s about time they clamped down on stupid plates, ones without a plate and those that are now being tinted black
Just checking. I don't think this has become law, unless anyone knows differently?
