Anyone else feel PH classified aren't what it used to be?
Discussion
I remember a time when the PH classified were just full of private owners selling their cars. Now, it seems like the private sellers are greatly reduced and it's dealers, dealers and more dealers for the most part.
Anyone else notice this?
Why has this happened?
PH itself is very different these days, so perhaps this is all part of it losing the personal touch and becoming more corporate?

Think it's been this way for years - when you've got eBay, Gumtree, Facebook so even AutoTrader seems to have taken a hit.
PH might still be a good place to find an unusual motor but I'd guess that way less than 1% of the population have ever heard of Pistonheads so not going to break into a saturated market.
Part of the reason why SOTW really had to increase the budget - £1k might still find you interesting cars on the wider web but much smaller pool to pick from in PH classifieds.

Noticed the same - when I tried to use PH to move my 330 on not a sniff from the website. I ended up selling it via eBay and it was literally nuts the number of messages etc I got.
I also don't think many people can be bothered with selling a car themselves these days so either trade them in or get shot via WBAC etc.
