I recently updated to Monterey 12.6 and Safari 16.0 and this seems to have fixed the problem for me.

Can't you just fix this PH???

Surely you recognise this is an issue with your website & not idea for UX

I shouldn't have to be clearing cookies, going into webcode or whatever other fixes are being proposed.

This privacy policy thing is brutal, every page change on my ipad I have to agree to it. Sadly keeps me away from the website….

On my iPhone if I ‘disagree’ with the policy it disappears for a while.

It’s annoying though..

It's back. Privacy popup appearing on every single PH page load.

Please make it stop.

Edited: Chrome on Windows 10 Pro desktop.

Started happening for me. Click Agree and it comes back with every new page.

Clicked disagree and it has not come back since.

A little debugging shows that the following URL is returning a "414 Request-URI Too Large" in cases where I'm getting the Privacy Plague:

https://sp.cargurus.co.uk/i?stm=1675340175395&...

It's a hoofing great URI of over 17K characters, looks like something in PH's user state management code has thrown a rod.

YMMV, and if it causes your PC to halt and catch fire then don't come crying, but for a fix in Chrome on PC, when viewing a forum page, bring up the DevTools window with ctrl-shift-j, go to the "Application" tab, and clear/delete/nuke everything related to pistonheads.com and sp.cargurus.co.uk in Local Storage, Session Storage, IndexDB and Cookies - then sprinkle some salt over your shoulder and whistle Dixie....and it *might* stop the Privacy popups. Maybe.

Been getting this pop-up continuously since yesterday. Hit disagree and that seems to have stopped it for now. Thought it was just me but seems to be a widespread problem.

I nuked all my pistonheads/cargurus cookies and that fixed it

Been happening for me again the last few days on iOS safari. Disagree didn’t work so selected more options and reject all and it seems to have solved it………………………..for now.

Edited to say that lasted all of 20min!
