New phishing scam to be wary of whilst selling on here

Same format, same line of questioning.

I've never been asked before if a car has any liens against it...alarm bells rang.

I am asking about carsvalidation.co.uk an online history inspection check and yeah i get it by myself but website doesn't allow me to run the report due to some security reason they only allow owners to run it and don't worry about the cost i reimburse you that cost

Serious question, why not block any messages with the target domains in them rather than blacklisting individual senders? Or don't allow URLs in messages!

Unfortunately the links are never posted in the initial lead email, which is the only message to pass through our system. As following messages are sent via email and outside of PistonHeads, we have no control. We are looking at building a closed messaging system which will help, but are unable to give a timescale for this at the moment I'm afraid.

I've experienced the phishing scam too. Within 15mins of listing my car for sale, I was contacted by [e-mail] and exchanged a series mails with them finally requesting that I pay for a vehicle report on http://myrideverifier.com.

A few hours later, someone called Arthur, using a WhatsApp Business account ([phone]), contacted me to pay for a vehicle check using vehicleride.co.uk before they come and see the car.
