The Aventador replacement

Had a call from Lambo dealer where I bought my Urus seems like all Urus models and Huracans are now fully sold out and all allocations gone for the forseeable.
Got onto the subject of the Aventador replacement and deposits can be left for them, has anyone placed one as yet?
I am tempted for an early slot, given I could then easily run it for 6/12months and come out of it with break even / profit.
Limited info, although it can't be that far away from breaking cover.

Deposit paid.
Tried the STO, but despite the engine, gearbox, steering & noise it wasn’t for me. Two reasons 1. Couldn’t get in with a helmet, so couldn’t use it on track 2. If you can’t use a car like this on track you need have bigger balls than me to drive it on the road and not feel too self conscious.
Also drove 296GTB shortly afterwards and it blew me away, despite not liking the interior. Awesome car.

I’m a ferrari man deep down, however ever since the 458 theve all been let downs since leaving the Na engines behind…..
Ferrari have resolved this with the 296 GTB/GTS even though its only a V6 it sounds immense. Looking forward to their new V8s as Im sure they have sussed out the sound issues they had post 458I’m a ferrari man deep down, however ever since the 458 theve all been let downs since leaving the Na engines behind…..

No, sorry, I disagree. Had a 296 for a couple of days on loan and just not blown away with the sound at all. Actually thought the 488 sounded better, but it is better than F8. Don’t know why they are trying to say it sounds like a mini V12- Just don’t hear it myself. No arguing with the performance and way it drives though. Drl22 said:

Anyway, what I am trying to say is that getting a decent sound out of a Turbo engine can be sussed out so will be interesting to hear the Turbo’s Lambos.
I’m not convinced either, however sadly this is the way the industry’s going.
I reckon the aventador will be the one to have still over it’s replacement purely over the sound, because let’s face it, it looks bonkers as it is especially in some of its variants, but importantly it sounds just like a supercar should.. amazing, there’s no way the new one will sound similar

Not so sure Lamborghini will go out like that, I mean a Urus over the near identical RSQ8 is a hell of a lot noisier but then again maybe nearly all will be sold with a dealer fit exhaust option. None of their offerings since have bettered or come close to the NA’s Unfortunately
