There is more on Furlonger's instagram page including videos of the engine going back in if you are interested. Sorry but I've no idea how to post videos on here. As you can see from their site we've done an awful lot to it to get it into mint condition and just a full repaint to go and then the refurbished interior to go back in. It makes it sound like it was in rough condition but it certainly wasn't as it's only done 18,000 km but I wanted to make it absolutely top drawer before I sold it.

This is what it looked like before we started:

Cost - fair enough, cheeky question

Will you get back what you’ve invested come selling time ? Assume not if it was already in decent nick

I meant if the car was worth 200 as it was a month ago, are you spending 50k to get to it perfect to be worth 250k (but satisfying) or 300k and profit

(made up example numbers)

I’m not sure what it was worth before the work but if you want to get a top price then it has to look the part. Also I believe it’s easier to sell a car where everything has already been done. The idea is that it will need nothing and be a less scary purchase than if a load of work needs doing. I guess only time will tell but there is certainly a lot of interest in it and it’s not finished yet. smile

Makes sense thanks

I guess a perfect example adds the collectors interest to that of enthusiasts

Found this old photo in the back of a drawer at work . Guess its from the early 90's perhaps?..... GH11 is currently showing as on a 1988 Mercedes.

I saw this car round the back of Portman on George Street in 1985.

Hi, GH11 belonged to a Mr Hope, who was the original owner of this black/black LP500S, which was later A17MBO. Nice photos guys! White Miura SV registered CCC1 in the background. Very rare sighting. Got any more photos you can post? Robert

I posted these in the 'White Miura SV...' thread.

This one was taken in 1987. It possibly had the registration RYY161K by then..?

I might have photos of that Countach with A17MBO, I'll have a look through my old prints.

I thought I might have had more but these are the only two I've found, at Brooklands Auto Italia, I think some time before 2013, as I generally didn't get photos printed after then.

Thrilled to have found this old magazine in the attic after 23 years believing it to have been long gone. Spent many hours lusting after this Countach in my early teens.
