That's interesting rat rod .. it says maserati gold with mustard interior. There can't have been many in that colour combination.
Probably the only one rhd in that colour, not sure about the rest of production, the ultra low mileage Countach that the Russian bought out of i believe RM's auction some years ago was in adiffent shade of gold ,more copper in colour.
As for the interior being mustard i think it was somewhere between magnolia and beige.
Not being a lover of gold i had always planned on painting it a graphite grey but with todays value's i would
definitly put it back to the original colour .

Also the ad states it is a low body but it isn't This is a an S3 4 litre car.
Definitely deserves a restoration.
Took many many photos at the Carrera Sport test days of this car in its gold and blue states. Was great that Steve used to track it so much.
Cheers

both in the gold and the blue never thinking back then that some day
i would own it .believe Steve owned it twice but not sure if
that is right or not, When Tim Dutton owned it the reg was TOO 510W as
you would already know,
Not quite sure how you would get on with that in todays world of vehicle recognition and MID
but messing about with the letters and numbers were common practice back in the day
The Countachs that stand out in my memory the most is the flesh coloured 5000 S
and the pink denist car with the blue interior, great story to that car.
Sadly both cars no longer in their mad original colours,

I test drove that car when it was for sale at Wheelhouse in Nottingham. I turned up in my 911 Turbo with a mate and they just threw me the keys. The wiper flew off on the test drive. Those were the days.AMVSVNick said:

i was on my way back from a trip up the north, they were closed so just stuck my nose against the window
not realising it was the pink car i' d seen at Mikes track days ,Not sure if it was you who told me that it had been sold
a year or so ago by Tom Hartley.
[quote=snapper seven]Fair play to Lux Classics. Sent them a note re the incorrect low body reference and they’ve removed it from the ad.
So hope someone buys and restores to original spec. [/quot
Sounds like it was a genuine error on their part ,they don't seem to know much about
the car or model, maybe they are selling it on behalf of the owner.
Got a feeling i sold them a Alfa 1300 Duetto some years ago for a birthday present for the owners son.
Think it was for his 18th birthday,

For full disclosure, he’s more into his Lightning McQueen at the moment than the stuff his dad likes!
Ha ha - I probably have the “same photo” of my son in front of the same car back in something like 2008 taken at Castle Hedingham. He was utterly disinterested. He eventually came round to the right side of the force
