@ Jonny TVR - yes I completely agree. Each dry day seems like a little bonus as Autumn progresses, last weekend I managed to use four of our old cars (albeit some journeys were for mundane purposes).
@ P5B - I suspect reading the article would transport us to a land of little traffic and well surfaced roads almost half a century ago :-)

Down in Devon? I guess not so much road salting in that region. I'm SE London, as soon as a single snowflake fails they dump loads on . . .
There was some.. as long as there has been rain to wash it away its OK. But it does get to a point where the rain still doesn't wash it away and you have to give up! I've moved location so will have to see what the roads are like here.Jonny TVR said:

Hear you. They put so much on the roads here that they turn white :-( So I don’t take the risk. Are you nearer to London now? Drive meet n greet i. 2023?lazylobster said:
From my single cell amoeba I think @carspath owns a Countach? I could be wrong and he has also written books on the subject matter too, along with other Lambo variants. So I understand his thirst for detail.
However, public forum with many different views. to be honest if the posts were purely technical and in-depth then I would find this hard to digest. I like a mix and combination. For example, I enjoy driving my Countach, I don't necessarily think ohh it could have gone round the corner better had I applied 0.5 degree more camber each time I drive it. A car is to have fun within and to enjoy. Also it's just a car (shock horror) No reason why it can't be taken to Homebase, Tesco or other. End of the day, it's your car, do with as you see fit. You want to paint it pink with yellow spots? Knock yourself out . .
But, I do ask and have questions that pop up from time to time as an owner and it's great to get feedback and advice from other owners who may have experience, view, or knowledge that I lack.
However, for me the overriding emotion and pleasure is to use my Countach as often as possible, get the car out there, speak to people who are interested in seeing this rare beast (especially the younger generation) and enjoy the car. As one day I may not be able to.
Crashed (not literal) a Porsche event at Brands Hatch last weekend. Ticket only event but they waved me through the gate free of charge. Guess the gate chap liked Italians. Plenty of people came up to photograph and talk about the car. This for me, is the privilege of ownership.

Possibly the greatest motorcar ever made? I’d say the most iconic.
And just look at it.
Owning one must be pretty much out of this world!
