Lol thanks mate will try asap, think it’s clear. biggrin

Other question, is it normal when I select the tuner, after “initialising tuner” it says “tuner not found”, don’t think so.
Mine does this occasionally. Restarting IRIS (long press the home button) resolves it.

Good stuff glad the car is ticking all the driving boxes for you.

To be fair how could it fail to be, the standard 570 is absolutely superb so can only imagine what the 600lt is like!

Where about's are you based in the country?

Hi there, I live in the Midlands.

Yes car is thicking all the boxes, I can imagine as never driven them, the sensations that delivers are the ones you could only get from Challenge Stradale, Scuderia, Speciale and Pista.

It’s raw, precise, although need to drive it properly yet, I am in running in mode. biggrin

The sound experience is what I wanted the most, after driving the - disappointing to me - 570S (and it had MSO exhaust!). I’ve noted though as many McLaren reviews say the engine noise is flat, but it sounds so raw that is still a big thick for me.

The exhaust is what sold me the car, it’s a Unique Selling Point, those (none!) pipes at the top of the engine cover! And the distorted view of the back from the driver seats due to the heat coming off the exhaust tips!

Exterior and interior wise - design - it’s absolutely stunning, mind blowing, even Ferraris above imho are lacking in comparison, maybe the Pista with its S duct nose...

Yes the top mount pipes are very cool, not heard one running up close as yet but can imagine with the rear window down the noise is ramped up to another level over the 570 & the heat haze in the rear view mirror is quite appealing too!

I get the sound thing is super important for some folk but must say for me the 570 with sport exhaust sound is spot on, I buggered up my hearing many years ago so can't take too loud for too long these days without resorting to ear plugs unfortunately & like the fact that on a longer low rev run its very unobtrusive.

If you fancy a run out at some point drop me messafe would be good to compare & contrast the 600lt to my Spider, I'm south mids close to Droitwich Spa.

Yep when possible I would like to meet up with other owners.

Mine is a Coupe, sound is already so intoxicating that I wouldn’t need a rr window down, although appreciate the exhaust notes would be on a different level.

Forgot to mention the Fr lift system.

Unbelievable, already gone through most of my road nightmares with success, and honestly I’ve read so many complaints that I was prepared for the worst in terms of usage but so far is spot on, it fully deploys in less than 30s, most important thing is to activate it when there’s smell of bumps on the road, e.g. when entering 30 mph zones...

Just looked it up - looks good.

I'm up for that. I'm based in Gloucester so no hardship to get there. Are you in the MOC UK?

Caffine & Machine is a decent destination with plenty of parking, on a sunny evening often an interesting selection of cars there.

On the downside the food was a bit on the ropey last time I tried it but may have improved since.

The MOC is a great owners club, it is most definitely not about showing off, just a group of people that loves cars and specifically McLarens, they do a great job of adding value to the ownership experience.

It’s the best value £50 that I’ve spent

Good, few cars already for a nice meeting at C&M.

I can do only week ends, on a dry Saturday pm would be perfect.

I’d also be up for a meet there...I’ve never been before and when I’ve collected my 570GT next week I’ll be looking for any excuse to drive the car driving

Forgot to ask, any advice for proper break in of the car/engine?

Any experience from other 600LT owners?

Manual says 600 miles or 1000km thereabouts. Doesn't say anything about avoiding full throttle or max RPM etc.. but says to vary engine speed and load.

edit; oh and not to use it on track until run in...

When I bought mine (albeit a 570s) the dealer also said 600 miles although he did say that was more for the bedding in of the brakes as the engines are run-in on the dyno at the factory. I'm not sure if they were right but I did follow the 600 mile guidance.

Thank you all, asked McLaren and this is what got as reply

"For 640 miles ensure you vary the road speed, limit engine revs to 5,500 rpm, avoid using gears for engine braking and do not attempt max speed. "

Very good answer indeed as it's pretty detailed/specific.

Not that I needed to know, as I could have guessed and it's all about common sense, but curious of their recommendation and about completion mileage.
