I've watched all of this guys videos, he's quite new to youtube but built some interesting cars and done them well. He's a bit simple and lacks charisma, but he's finding his mojo and I'm still subscribed.
Seems to have an endless pot of cash and doesn't profit from the cars, but I enjoy his videos and he must be making something off youtube now to keep going.
All his cars are high end and he goes into lot of detail.

Money no object, balls of steel or just plain old S,H one T for brains but I enjoyed that and subscribed for updates....
I cringed when they picked it up with a fork lift even though it’d probably scraped on its belly up a few kerbs.
Looking at McLaren threads will he be able to get parts and paint codes readily?

cant actually believe he is going into this build knowing nothing about McLaren cars, I am not sure he would be able to get hold of the parts....this is going to cost more to repair than buying a secondhand car, unless he buys donor parts. Perhaps You Tube pays more than the repair cost? No one in their right mind would want to buy this either.
Just watched part 2 and he's brave taking that on but obviously money's not an issue.
I might be missing something but how did he expect it to start without pressing the brake pedal? He acknowledges he's not pressing the brake but still expects it to start. Had he frigged out the switch on the pedal or something? Will any modern car start nowadays without pressing the brake?

Mate of a mates McLaren had a glancing blow to the rear quarter from a car in the next lane.
Damage looked like something Chips Away could fix, just a scuffed bumper arch and wheel, however it had to be stripped down in case the impact had pushed the driveshaft and damaged the composite gearbox, not to mention damaging the wishbones etc
The car was out of action for months and cost £50K to repair.

Yup together with prices ££ of Mclarens effectively in freefall plus the potential cost of repair could well mean this car is unquestionably a write off especially having regards likely damage to the carbon tub as well as other crucial parts of the structure an chassis and running gear.
And who in their right mind would buy one with such a history/ story without any warranty having been repaired outside the network in a backstreet lockup thus further impacting it's value.

I was involved in a claim for a front end damaged mclaren.
It needed bumper bonnet wings headlights and the front crash bar structures.
The repair bill was £90k.
Front bumper and splitter £14,000 headlights £4000 each.
The costs were phenomenal.
I have repaired a Porsche with similar damage and I would not attempt it without a reasonable amount of else one hand spares. There aren’t many front end mclaren parts on eBay !

I agree this guy does appear to be out of his depth, that Mclaren has received serious damage which will definitely have affected the tub chassis and structure together with shock waves and stress to much componentry. And yet here he is just ordering a few random parts here and there!
Bizarre.
Reckon the car wants a complete strip down to assess overall damage which will clearly be mega expensive. And yet he seems more concerned about erasing warning lights from the dash lol.
Whoevers funding this must have deep pockets.
But good luck to him anyway.
