Owner here, and as I've often said...
perhaps once too often ? sleep
You really are the PH troll.
how's your bridge ?
What an absolute bore - you are the guy I dread getting stuck in a lift with - nothing of real interest to add.
No need to be nasty now.

Andrew adds an air of banter to the forum, which is often needed, especially when all the snow flakes get so sensitive about others commenting on how unreliable or how much McLaren's depreciate without even owning one, the audacity!!

As someone touched on earlier, it's very very weird.
Eh nasty? sorry you see it that way TC - just expressing my opinion - my view is the bloke is a total wind up merchant (this is not banter) - I'm hardly a snowflake btw smile

Yep find it very wierd why the same folk come on the Mac forum just to slag the Marque off - absolutely unique on PH

Edit to add - thought my earlier post hadn't gone onto the board - but gist the same smile

I love McLaren cars but just couldn't tolerate those poor levels of service.

I have it on very good authority that the problem is that the quality control issues during the manufacturing process are not being addressed on the production line and are instead just being left for warranty to pick up after the car has been delivered! This is simply not acceptable.
Please expand on your 'very good authority' - a friend of a friend's mate's mate? - really, if you make these serious assertions at at least be good enough to inform us of the veracity of the source.
To be fair, you don’t really need “authority” of any kind to know that the quality control of these cars in production is nowhere near where it needs to be and does not appear to have been addressed. It’s obvious to everyone (owners and otherwise) that in aggregate they have way more faults and issues than they should have.

That's a pretty good picture. I thought I'd clean it up a bit.

I have looked through his previous 30 posts and i find no evidence of that.

He does, however, make Nicola Sturgeon seem interesting in comparison which in itself is very impressive.

Plot twist: I raise these issues about McLaren, Lotus and others because I want them to improve. Tolerating mediocrity is an awfully British thing but we cannot accept it if we want to be taken seriously.

Merry Christmas one and all.

I 100% agree with that I really want Mclaren, Lotus and Aston ( who have improved alot had a V12 Vantage for a time and it was v reliable)to succeed and I'm not even British! Mclaren are a young company with associated growing pains but they must improve the quality control without a doubt.

He gives Andrews a bad name that’s for sure!

But he has been on PH for ages and when you leave aside his taste in Barry Boy modification, he can be quite funny in a dry kind of way smile

I've watched the YouTube clip. FWIW, I think the supplying dealer has a very very large amount of responsibility for the customers poor experience & the apparent poor attitude of key staff to the situation would be resolved by either transferring them out or retraining them substantially before they're allowed to speak with customers again. The manufacturer needs to put them on the "improvement" list & monitor them accordingly. The manufacturer also needs to turn production levels down to match demand & also improve manufacturing sign off so the supplying dealers aren't rectifying long lists at PDI for free.

I've only second hand experience of my local dealer though I'm told they're one of the better ones. I still hanker after a McLaren if I ever win the Lotto smile

Both cars discussed in the video still need visits to dealers for remedial work, in fact the 720 should be at Bristol now - we have heard very good things about them.
570s owner here, I bought my 570s new in May 17 from McLaren Manchester, did the full satin sheet reveal of the car in the dealership then they delivered to car to me in Newcastle via covered transport. It's never let me down and has only needed a replacement DAB radio unit and some door realignment done under waranty, both completed whilst with them for its annual service at McManchester. 10,000 miles of total joy all backed up with a very efficient and professional support from McLaren Manchester.

There, now you have heard very good things about McLaren Manchester too... wink
