The circumstances of sale are largely irrelevant this was a public auction giving a true market value.

That car was nearer £250k list so it was approaching half price not that rrp means much as we all know.

This car was effectively clearly no one off as the similar priced but much newer 2019 low mileage 600LT auctioned simultaneously proves which perhaps of the two was even more of a bargain which now effectively sets the new bar for newish Mclaren residual pricing.

They are undoubtedly great value at this level.

Again the facts concerning the 600lt sale are also deceptive as Collecting cars pulled a fast one on the seller.

So neither are indicative and are one offs imo

Doubtful CC would pull a 'fast one' in their infancy in building what is clearly a successful and innovative business platform and customer feedback appears good thus far.

Secondly that 600LT was entered by a dealer not private like the 720S so very unlikely CC auctions would get one over on this vendor with that particular car who would of all people know its true value although perhaps you could explain as to why you think otherwise.

I am afraid you are misinformed on both accounts.

No matter the market value was unaffected.

Clearly then a legitimate transaction at market value between a willing buyer and seller.

The first listing of the 600LT stated the seller was a dealer.

Market value is what they are sold at. Brutal fact. Higher price is wishful thinking.

Today’s Bloomberg article doesn’t exactly make for great reading if you are employed by a UK car producer (or somebody in their supply chain)

Commonly known as two offs.

In other words the clearly established price level.

Would that include the car production facility or "just" the HQ?

It will be a real shame if McLaren die, especially as hardly anyone currently has any experience looking after them outside of the main dealers.
