So after taking her out today i have to say how incredible a car it is. I also have no idea why people say Iris2 is bad, it seems to work very well indeed, streaming audio from my iphone, phone calls etc, haven't tried the navi, all seems very clear and easy to use. I am sure it will crash occasionally, but thats when trying to do more than one thing at a time?
Driving: The suspension is pretty hard even on softest setting, and the pot holed roads don't help, but once on smoother dual carriage ways it feel super comfortable. I am addicted already to the howl the engine makes in track mode, it's phenomenal. Coming from my 911 turbo which was very very quiet, this truly feels like a real supercar. Acceleration is brutal, and you do have to watch yourself as the numbers leap up in a blur, easy to get to silly speeds. The steering is just sublime, reminds me of an Exige, but larger, more powerful and more comfortable, like a grown up Lotus ( no offence to Lotuses meant ) - so direct and so much feedback, the steering wheel also feels amazing, and the whole instrument panel, dash layout, such an amazing car!!!!!!
Still can't believe it's mine!

Regarding the “suspension” - it’s still a supercar with low profile types, large wheels and a super stiff carbon tub. You WILL feel the initial thump, though, later models seem to have less of this. Apart from that first sharp impact, the point is that it’ll keep the car planted and level with no bump steer, without the need for heavy anti-roll bars. And anti-roll bars can’t do anything with skew (when the front suspension has to rotate in one direction while rear is the opposite) but this suspension is amazing in those situations.
During lockdown there were at least five available in the 60-70K bracket. All of these appear to have sold leaving the black one @69,997 as the cheapest available. Would appear that people believe they are a great car for that kind of money. Doubt they will go up anytime soon but looks like they won't go below 60k so great buys imo.

That's lovely congrats, yes Mclarens defo look much better in person than in photos, low slung with great road presence. The 12c has a very unique sound and at full chat it has a serious boom!
The feature i was never sold on at launch was the rear...i just didn't like it.However, i now love the look of the rear of 12c's and 650s...and as mentioned it looks so much better in the flesh than any picture...just like the rest of the cars.
That is a stunning looking 12C you have got yourself there Dank.

Regarding the suspension is there much difference between the settings (normal / sport / track) ? The 12C should be super smooth in 'normal' way more comfy than any Porsche? If there is not much difference then get the accumulators checked out, they are the most likely culprit for a firm ride.
Iris 2 is fine a few things to note though. he sat nav has a preference for farm tracks! Don't use it the way finding is not good. Stick to Waze on your phone or whatever you use. If Iris plays up press the home button for 30 seconds until screen goes black and comes on again, that reboots the entire system if the radio wont play or anything else and 99% of the time it solves any iris issues.
It will change down through the gears much better in sport mode where rev matching is faster. Sport mode actually gives the smoothest gear changes IMHO.
I think 8 of the 12C development engineers where poached from Lotus, the cars are extremely similar in philosophy and you can feel it in their DNA. The 12C also looks very similar to the 2010 Esprit concept car. In the past 4 years I have owned 2 McLaren's and 3 Lotus they are definitely my favourite marques!
