Ok, I apologise, I reacted to what come across as a sarcastic and unnecessarily negative comment. I've been enjoying writing these posts and didn't expect that. I just need to get thicker skin I suppose.
Buy a McLaren, don't expect negative comments on PH.......

So this is about not breaking the law? Because you're not above it if you own a supercar? Ever gone above the speed limit in your 675LT?

Categorically NO but I haven't collected it yet but I've hardly gone above 100 mph in any of the others and I certainly dont break the law everytime I got out in one of them
FLAGRANT disregard for the law IMHO and why should it be supercar owners and not your audi A3 ????
Pretty sure you're banned RamboLambo.

I am sure I may be in the minority here but I don’t actually like the loud noise you get from most Lambos.

No doubt the MSO exhaust for some model Macs does add noise but Macs are built for tracking. All models are built to race round Silverstone GP circuit.

Noisy exhausts do not work in the UK for folks who enjoy their Macs as they were intended, hence why many Mac owners are not hung up on noise or messing about with the cats.

The sports exhaust on my 720s is plenty loud enough and should i want to track it I can without issue.

No there isn’t, not at this point anyway. On the 570, you had standard, sports and then the MSO titanium option (quite rare) But for the 720 just standard and Sports. The 765LT sounds louder, from the clips I’ve seen, maybe something interchangeable there?
Full titanium exhaust on that model. Definitely sounds thunderous with valves open, and loud.

Also in the minority - and clearly don't know for sure - but why are 720a photo's with the spoiler half cocked / up ?
I assumed the norm is flush when parked?

I SMH when I see spoilers erect on cars

If the 720S is parked without pressing "Aero off", the wing stays deployed. I find this very useful when washing the car.

And the 765LT wing will never sit flush.

Lowered mode:

Full Airbrake deployment mode:

Good to know.
Odd that one needs to trigger the flat surface, and IMHO preferable, aero-off.

I still find it wky on 'any' car, when parked the spoiler is extended

Fully agree - loud noise from relatively slow cars is particularly obnoxious. Again as stated here often - the backlight in a spider is the elegant solution. Better sound for one it most matters to - yourself.

Actually on the 720s Coupe in Track mode there are 2 grills between the seats which open up and resonate sound into the cabin. Aurally a decent sound

According to Thorney that’s on the 650, the 720 doesn’t have that

What a great post! Really enjoyed that read, and genuinely pleased you got the car you wanted!

Look forward to hear how you get on with the 720!

Where abouts are these grills, I’ll go and have a look to see if mine has them

Underneath the small netting between the seats. You should hear it when pushing on in track mode though

Or....how about, I dunno , just fit a front plate like 25m other vehicles in the U.K.??

I was willing to gloss over your chavvy lack of front plate till you posted this insult.
It does create an odd taste to the mouth of an otherwise enthusiastic and enjoyable thread - for me.
Lovely car OP but it's a shame you have to spoil it with this number plate nonsense. Stick the plate back on like everyone else and stop being a bellend.

Yes found them, thanks for the pointer. Turns out my mistake, Thorney had said the 720s doesn’t have an intake sound generator like the earlier Super Series cars. The 720s takes it from the exhaust valves? So it is letting noise into the cabin.

Actually no.

If you never press the Aero button, it stays down when you park. It's when you deliberately use Aero On, for "enthusiastic driving", that you need to switch it off again.

It's really not an issue and works just like you would expect.
