Days like today make me wish I had a Spider! Car looks mint.

is that a GT4 RS?
No, that’s a 981 GT4. No 718 GT4 RS’s have been delivered to anyone yet.

ZERO downside to a McLaren spider

That's the meaning of life - top down, sunny day, mini-me by your side.

Thoughts on the mac vs your previous R8s?

R8’s are great, I’ve had 10 of them

But they feel like a Golf compared to the Big Mac !

I had an original 2007 R8 for 7 years and is was a good daily driver but McLaren’s in my car a 720s is just in a different league both in terms of power but also in terms of driver engagement.

What glorious weather we are having! Great excuse to use the Big Mac

Have fit some Corsa’s for summer, as I have found the P Zero’s to be absolutely terrible

Also fit some new TPMS sensors as old ones had died.

Where you not tempted to put some PS4S on?

I had Corsa’s on my 650S, I was impressed with them. Did the NC500 and even if the wet they could give decent grip.

Immediately notice the difference, can actually plant the throttle without wheel spin. The P Zero’s really are a joke tyre.

Lovely colour sir.

Do you mind telling me what child seat you have in the front?

My current one is a little too wide for my frond seats in the 458, so on the hunt for a more narrow one!

Thanks

I had Corsas on my 570s, the difference to ps4s sounds like the difference from p zeros to corsas, transformed the car in my humble opinion.

The car was MOT’d on the day I bought it, and I have just had a new MOT where it flew through with no advisories- a great year and 2,500 miles.

I got it down to Thorney for their inspection, and overall nothing major highlighted, but a bunch of normal wear and tear items identified so it’s back there in 6 weeks for some bits and pieces, the main bits being new engine mounts and rear suspension bushes etc

Also swapped the grey Pork for a red one that’s covered just 2k miles from new

On Autotrader last week it was showing as “deposit taken”, did it fall through,or getting that done was part of the deal ?

Inspection was booked prior, for my own piece of mind.

Items highlighted in inspection won’t be resolved until 27th June due to Thorney lead time, so will likely return the deposit

I actually don’t want to sell the car, as literally nothing for £80k comes close on the market to a 600ps Carbon tub convertible supercar.

I mean even a 458 Spider is £140k+ and a 12C would leave that for dust

Any particular reason you swapped from that old GT4 to the new one?

That specific example is a lot of car for 80k ish! - I am assuming running costs / warranty costs must put people off, rightly or wrongly.
