Excellent. Let’s just hope nobody ends up buying the lemon then.

Anyway, as you were gents. Apologies for that.

Spec of that one isn't bad but it lacks the carbon interior trim, which is one I think a lot of people want (and a lot of cars have), which could make it a tad harder to re-sell perhaps, unsure how it'd affect a dealer bid. But may be less of a must-have on the GT.
Quick note on this. The key thing this carbon trim brings is extended paddles. These are a must-have IMO. The rest is just for looks. In theory an owner could retrofit these paddles. That Sytner car looks nice in the showroom, but 30k miles while not actually high probably means Mc dealers didn't want it.

Just looked and WBAC valuation at £116K ! Yes they’ll knock money off for just about anything out of the ordinary but still a firm ( ish) offer, forget CC fees as the seller doesn’t benefit from these even though at £6K is hard to swallow ( ouch),, seller accepted £115K for the car so even with all its faults was a cheap buy, just need to see similar cars with 10K less miles up for £125K now which based on these figures should be achievable ,, ( ps.. send me your details in new year when you want to sell, lol )
That 600LT went cheap because its well known about it been refused by a previous customer and Mclaren voiding the warranty on it due to past tampering.

A new engine is 55k, a rebuild is around 20k if possible, that is why it went cheap, plus it was an absolute mess of an example, peppered front-end, corrosion and potential engine issues and no warranty.

It was a pure gamble and hence why it went cheap as it is a black listed car.

I'd also assume the mileage might be a bit too high for their approved programme so selling it through Syther Select might have been more profitable than auctioning it?

I had my Exige 410 for 3 years so I'm looking for something longer term. More than likely going to end up in an AMG GTR as it seems the best all rounder for circa £100k that's still driver focused but also really drawn towards 991.1 GT3s. I'd love a Ferrari but a good 458/488 is well above my budget!
After just selling my 570s i am back in the market and think im probably going to settle on an AMG GTR, for now i think it might be a safer bet whilst the market "settles" and see where things go with the Artura and 750s and how dealers view older models.

I will definitely have another Mclaren, i really didnt have any issues that are worth mentioning in a year and a half ownership, so in no way put off. If prices do fall i soon though i will be keep my eye on the 600LT and 720s market.

I hope whoever bought it is fully aware of these issue, to say the sellers agents comments are misleading is an understatement , doesn’t look good on CC either selling cars such as this one on their site,

Who knows, they might be and feel the 20-30k discount compared to rest of market covers their risk.
They may not and be very upset and even more upset if they cannot get their 6k back from CC.

The problem is people see an auction and bid on it, they win and feel they got a great deal.
But if I they see the car advertised say on AT or PH say at 129k then alarm bells are ringing as to why its 20-30k below rest of market.

I'm hearing that the dealership is trying to understand where this all came from. It's been suggested there's a campaign against the dealership going on, trying to discredit them. Must confess, I've never heard anything negative about Mac New Forest before.

No me neither to be fair. What would anybody gain from discrediting a dealership though?

It all depends on why they would do it. To actively pursue a campaign of unfounded negativity via rumours on a public message needs a lot of motivation and caries a fair amount of risk, probably why the thread was pulled.

I'm in a similar boat actually, currently doing the man maths to justify going for the 600LT/720, but thinking it might be worth waiting for values to settle qhen more people are looking to get out of their current cars once the Artura starts getting deliveries as a couple of dealers have said there's a few more cars coming onto the market soon.

I'm too impatient to be wait for too long so about to pull the trigger on an AMG GTR. Would you go for a loud colour like Hell Green to make it feel as special as a McLaren? Have you also considered a facelift R8 V10 Performance I drove one recently but the driving dynamics weren't as impressive as the GTR even though it has more power at 620ps

Yep, hell green would be the one. Seems a lot of variation on price of the few hell greens for sale, but none with the spec I would want at the moment.

Audis do not float my boat in the slightest.

I noticed that the CC 600LT was a 'Managed Sale' - anyone know what that means?
I believe its when a third party or dealer etc puts the car on for you so you don't have to deal with the transaction. Pretty handy if you're busy or don't want to look a person in the eyes who's pants you are having down as a random example relating not at all to any past or present CC transaction of course.

Common practice with the lower end supposedly prestige car dealers.
