Has anyone fitted the convertible roof kit to operate the roof from the key fob, if so what are the details

I intended to on my first car but thought it might invalidate the warranty so never did. I'd still quite like to - mostly because you gain one touch control from the switch in the car - but suspect I still won't get around to it.

From memory (this was for 650), you remove the 'parcel shelf' behind the seat - it pulls out / slightly up.
The roof module was on the passenger side - you unplugged it and then inserted the new module between them.
If I remember correctly, you also had to remove a small spring or something from the alarm sensor for the roof.

It all seemed pretty simple.

I don't think the McLaren ones are model specific, mine had details specific to a 650s on it and it fitted and worked......

That's helpful thanks, anyone fitted an aftermarket exhaust I hear Mac NF offer something special.

It’s probably the US exhaust, basically comes without the valves,,

They said it was from the US so I guess so, what's it like in terms of noise, flames, price and usability ?
Will it impact Mac warranty ?

Not bothered fitting one to mine as I like to keep it standard,, supposedly a bit more noise at idle and low revs,, apparently not all dealerships will fit them and there’s always debate if the warranty would be affected or not,, ( new heat shields are also required )

Talking to a 600lt spider owner in lime green last weekend, I'm pretty sure he said this it was possible to buy the US piece through a UK dealer, difficult to see how that might impact the warranty should that be the case.

You can/could buy the US spec exhaust via McLaren for £700. Don't bother paying daft prices that some places believe you need to pay for the exhaust!

Just because a dealer will sell you an exhaust and fit it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s warranty friendly,, like I said there’s always debate on this on the 600 chat groups, good news is I don’t believe anyone’s had issues with their cars that might point the finger to this mod !

Debate; but any hard conclusive proof of a warranty declined ?

Existing heat shield as you can see is fine, it also flames much more at night which is great fun to see.

Thought the top heat shield was different to cover where the valves would be ? Or are you not running top shield ?

No, did not have to touch any heat shield to fit the rear pipes.
