Conventional wisdom is that McLarens do not like being stuck in storage for extended periods. They tend to develop issues if they are not driven.

Worth asking this question I guess; what is the spec of your 650S. I am currently in the market smile
valid point, mine has just needed two intercoolers despite it's 500 mile odometer..

If I put the spec of mine up the thread will be pulled. I’ll post if and when I advertise it here.

I’m hopefully getting a Portofino this week, in which case the McLaren’s days are likely numbered.

Listed as a Spider but the pics show a Coupe. Priced five grand above the priciest Spider, and eighteen grand more than the next most expensive Coupe on AT - it looks nice, but not sure it's that valuable?

I think it's just an odd angle from just outside the footwell looking up, so the header rail is behind the steering wheel making it look like the roof is open.

The car on AT:

its the best looking/spec one for sale in a great colour. Lovely seats also.

if it was a spider, it'd have sold already.

Nice spec but as Sam says, 20% more than others i think is very hopeful.

A possible long term investment, but youre going to have to park it up and continue on with its garage queen status of just over 1000 miles a year average.

If I remember correctly there are only around 20 x 650s Coupes in the UK. They are exceedingly rare as the spider and coupe were launched concurrently.

At £100k for a McLaren that would definitely be my choice, especially in orange.

And I can also vouch for Autolounge. They are top notch, personally I would only by from Graham at Autolounge, Alastair Bols or V Engineering. All those 3 really know their McLarens.

Reduced by 5k, I wonder how low it will go.

+1

The two other coupes on AT are at £72 and £80k, but with 50 and 30k miles respectively. So £85-90k range sounds about right.

There is however the caveat that 650S Coupes are a very thin market, so it's hard to pin down a price, and it's always possible that someone decides they want the best available car and are prepared to pay a chunk more for it (somewhat as Harry did with his Spider).

I'm not sure the rarity makes it difficult to price, most people seem to want the spiders anyway (I'm not in that category). It is just a nice example of a 650s I.e it's not a Ltd number model, I.e an LT to command a premium. I believe Harry's was an MSO car, so some provenance for it's higher price.

15 to 10k off original asking is a chunky drop, don't blame them for trying of course.

I’m in the market for a 650s, I’d happily pay £85k-£87k for the orange one linked above, the owner is keen however on £95k. I guess I’ll have to keep looking. Let me know guys of you’re considering selling something similar.

I'm sure it will come down when he realises it's over priced or the dealers had enough of it taking up valuable sales space, probably in the depths of winter when the market is even slower.

Hang in there.
