Having owned a 12C, 12C Spider and a few other things I decided it was time to get back into a McLaren

Amethyst black is hard to photograph!

Good god.

That’s unbelievable. Congratulations

Huge congrats - The FF continues to be well looked after. Especially right now as its in with Colchester!

The P1 looks stunning. Any similarities in the paint?!

Great to hear!

P1 is much darker. The blu America on the FF is just lush

anyone directed you to the 'best garage' thread ...?

Congrats!

Do you have a pic of all the cars together?

That must be an amazing feeling to open the doors and just gaze; congratulations.

Can you summarise the difference between the two, according to your experience?

Did you keep the F50? I see the plate is on the P1 now.

Both now gone sadly. F40 doubled in value and I just couldn't pass up the gain. Regret that, F40 is a magical car. F50 also an amazing thing, but was just too much money tied up in a car, I got very nervous driving it. The Chris Harris video F40/50 is spot on in terms of how they drive

What an amazing garage / ownership history.

The only thing on my bucket list is to drive an F40 one day, is it a likely to be a case of "never meet your heroes" or should I keep dreaming just in case?

I suspect you could put Halfords wheel trims on and it would still look special biglaugh

Sounds like an interesting experiment. Are you game, b_b? biggrin

While I did appreciate the stealth-mode of the dark wheels, the silver lift it to another plane, for me. Abso-ruddy-lutely lovely. smile
