The eerie waft through traffic

Other half's Leaf has just touched 900 miles from new - we both love it. Going to go way over the 6,000 mile lease limit a year...
No mechanical sympathy needed - flat out from 'cold', no waiting for it to warm up, heating already warm and on the timer, light controls, ridiculously quiet, decent ride, comfortable... do I sound like Chris Goffey?
Stupid fiddly touchscreen crap annoys me, but it's new and all new cars seem designed to kill you through being fitted with overcomplex non-intuitive controls.
We charge it at home on the standard brick charger - dead easy, dead cheap, no standing on a freezing petrol station forecourt.
As a transportation appliance it's basically unbeatable.
And it's quick, indecently quick for what it is - ok I think the 0-60 is about 11 seconds which won't set the world alight, but the beauty of the electric car is you can achieve that 11 seconds or whatever every time - no dropping the clutch, no redlining, just point and press.
Torque from rest is crazy for a little hatchback - subject to traction you're beating basically any other 'normal' car from the lights without any stress whatsoever. A launch control'd 997TT might just keep up up to 20mph, but pretty much anything else can forget it
'Tis the future for everyday use. A Tesla must be incredible. Still need a petrol car for fun though
