So 95 Ron will no longer be available, will this have an impact?

I've heard that you can't store it for more than a couple of months?

There's loads of threads on this in GG. The upshot of it is that a few older cars and bikes wont like it and will have to be run on super-unleaded (which is still going to be E5), no-one else will even notice. Id imagine it'll still be 95RON, by the way. I can't see why they'd change the knock-rating.

Other parts of the world have been using E10 without issue for years.


ETA: One of my cars isn't approved to run on it so I'll probably switch to using super unleaded. At least until someone comes up with an after-market kit to support E10 (which would basically involve new fuel lines and tank).

Sorry must have missed the other threads, it's the first I'd heard of it yesterday.

The biggest problem seems to be steel fuel tanks; higher ethanol content makes them more prone to rusting. Some older cars also have fuel lines, seals, etc. which haven't been tested for E10. Whether they will actually prove a problem is anyone's guess really but I suspect most people with classic cars will simply use super unleaded for now.

95 Ron will still be available but it will have up to 10% ethanol
Super unleaded will also still be avialable and will remain at a maximum of 5% ethanol (Esso super seems to 0% ethanol in some parts of the country).
