Hi

To start a new thread, the race is only a few weeks away, WHO IS GOING?? and in what cars?

We are leaving a Tuscan, V8S, Griff and Subaru P1 at home for a rented Galaxy TDI!!! Too much choice I guess.

Leaving Thursday morning via P and O

See you there

Well me obviously, SMILES, Mark and several other gassers: Leaving on Thursday morning P&O circa 09:30 Dover-Calais. Griff, V8S, Midget, and Puma loaded with spares for the others and luggage. Going Rouen, Alencon route, stopping @ Rouen for lunch on Thursday. Camping @ Bleu, returning on Sunday night, stopping @ Alencon, 14:30 ferry on Monday. Going in full Bentley attire as Bentley team wear/merchandise is now out! And yes all cars will have thier full quota of Pisonheads stickers as per last year. Must have a Pisonheads get together on the track (Arnage/Indionapolis) on the Firday! Also Pete (Probar) drop us a line and let us know when you are going down/where you are staying.

There'll be a little convoy of about 4 Westfields (with a TVR interloper !!) leaving v. early on the Thursday morning (Dover / Calais on Sea Chance). We're taking a "scenic" route in the hope of finding some quieter and more entertaining roads to play on. We're going via Abbeville and Rouen but avoiding motorways and then heading due south from Rouen so we avoid Alencon and all the other traffic.

Actually the idea of going through abeville isn't bad at all, the cobbled steets might shake my teeth loose but those frenchies need that noise early in the morning....it might also stop us getting parted from Ferret boy and co in Rouen. ps....at the moment my V8S has no wheels on it and no exhaust. There are other problems too numerous to mention but it will be there.

Beware of going through Abbeville - we tried it a couple of weeks ago (we were checking out an alternative route in the Westfield !!) and there was a major diversion which meant you couldn't get across town. Basically you had to go back on the autoroute and rejoin the D road the other side of the road works. Might be finished now, but we're skirting round Abbeville on the autoroute just to be on the safe side.

Hello I am going in my S2 - staying in Houx BBQ - I think the BBQ is cancelled, Frenchies won't let anyone take meat in due to foot & mouth worries!!!! So I heard from the organiser. We'll have to have an unorganised one with a line of 30 disposable BBQ's !! Giles GB

I will also be in Houx with an S2. I understand the BBQ was switched to Castle Combe on the following (Power Tour) weekend to avoid poisoning the French. Roy

Me and the other half on Thursday, camping on Houx Annex, anyone know if this is numbered plots, like Houx, or a bit of a free for all? Come and say hello, Steve, and Claire in a green Chimarea.

Having not camped in Houx before, I didn't realise the plots were numbered. Is this individual pitch by pitch, or just general areas ? We should arrive on Friday lunch time so not too concerned, although I know it will be busy by then. TIA for any tips.

I'm at Houx Annex this year, coz I booked to late for preffered site (Karting Nord), but I don't know where Hous Annex is. Can anyone describe where it is relative to landmarks such as pits/fair/grandstands/circuit corners? Thanks Steve

its behind the bugatti circuit. there are two ways to get to it from memory, either under the mulsane straight next to the bar at tetre rouge ( drive towards the mulsanne from the hyper market. turnleft where they block the road, then right down the little hill right at the bottom of there past the bar carry straight on till you see the campsite not that far), or on the other side of the circuit i think there is a tunnel under porsche curves that you can get under and drive along there until you see the campsite
