Thanks. This seems like a good option after the pit walk and before the parade on Friday!

There was mention of some sort of shuttle earlier.

Though this event is very busy the organisers seem stretched and have very little time to publish information.
Free event so can't complain. Thankful it's put on.

I forgot to ask. Do we need to register to attend this?

No registration. Just turn up.

Bring something nice and you can go on display. Anything else (like my pristine E46 M3getmecoat) goes in general parking.

If you'd like to park up with us in the PistonHeads Friday Service, then yes you do need to register here: https://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=6...

We'll be sending a print out to all registered later this week, which you'll need to put in your windscreen so that you're directed to our parking area in the event.

Your M3 will be most welcome too, so get yourself signed up!

Yeah, they didn't like M cars, the M5 Touring was always consigned to the public car park as an Audi TT was ushered in... I think it is perceived sports cars and a big estate isn't really interesting to look at despite sounding fruity.

Getting out last year was a total nightmare. Sat queueing in blazing sunshine for over an hour in a TVR Cerbera is never a great experience. TBH the car behaved itself impeccably, and the aircon worked pretty well, but I shan't be attending this year. I'll wait to see reports of how the park and ride helps.

BTW it's 70 years of TVR this year. Or perhaps you're saving the TVR event for the 75th anniversary? wink

frown this has happened to me a couple of times in my clean e46 M3. On one occasion I got to the general parking and the attendant said the car was to good - go back to the display, to be turned away again...

Sorry if this is a naivé post but I'm going with 5 friends for the first time this year.

We're staying at Lycian's Village on the Curves and taking bicycles. How easy will it be to get to these events? We're going by car for lunch at the Hotel de France on Friday so probably out 11.30-3.30 (then parking up until Monday) but no other plans.

Have you got a reservation for lunch on Friday at the Hotel de France?

Aston Martin have a big Members meeting there which is a ticket only event.

Be mindful of the Friday afternoon traffic. I'd look at alternative transport if I were you.

Every time I see Classic British Welcome, I picture football hooligans shouting "yoo faarkin cant" and then headbutting someone.

Perhaps I'm deranged! biglaugh

As I have said before, the place is now a victim of its success.

Far too many cars are now trying to access the site and getting out last year was a nightmare.

We (V8 Vantage & 993Turbo) will never go near it again.

Sorry.
Don't be sorry mate, more room for proper cars

Mine too. I think it is a badge of honour having the nicest car in the plebs car park.
