Certainly The Charlatans and The Wailers, but they may have been in the late '90's

Bonjour, France! We’re proud to announce we'll also be playing next summer at @mmarenaofficiel, @24heuresdumans, Le Mans, France 🇫🇷 on Friday 15th June 2018.

From the band's twitter.

I can't go ever again, always working. :-(

2018 JK to play in the M&M Stadium at 60 euros + a ticket!
Do you mean a ticket for the concert, or a ticket for the race? If the latter, only race-viewers can go the concert, and I very much doubt they will fill the stadium that way. If non-race-viewers can attend, I'm sure Jamiroquai can sell out.

Think its going to be a separate ticket for the concert that anyone can buy. I expect the tram to be full of people from Le mans town.

Looks like the concert is scheduled for the Firday Night!

I seem to recall the Levellers played one year. It was 2006 or 07 maybe?

I get so absorbed watching the race and listening to Radio Le Mans I always forget to see whose playing.

Pretty sure the Hoosiers were mid week rather than the Saturday night, the only one I've seen is The Stranglers, other that that they're just a bit of an inconvenience when trying to get round the circuit

around 1980-1981 the Stranglers played a venue in the main square in the city on the Friday evening.... totally by chance and not related to the race. Tried to find the venue again some years later and it is a Macdonalds now.
on an aside, when the Renault World Series did Le mans Bugatti in 2008 the headline act was Samantha Fox! this was a good decade after everyone in the UK had forgotten about her yet the French went wild for her.

I think 2008 was Star Sailor and 2009 was the Stranglers supported by Twisted Wheel

2006 The Charlatans, for sure, I was at the front of stage thinking... I could have been the drummer when asked to join some 25 years beforehand by Martin Blunt Bass

We have a little gang walking over from Houx to see them, cheap seats at just 40 Euros a head. Last time I saw them was just before (I think) they released their first album, Top Rank in Brighton on a tiny stage in front of a couple of hundred people!
