Got my IDP yesterday. It seems not all PO's do them and some have had 2hr queues for them, while others, like my local one, have lots of forms and no queues.
2 hour queues for an IDP would make the news. 90% of the media in this country are Pro-EU and such a thing would be prime-time news. Also, do you know what a 2 hour queue looks like? Think the queue for folk wanting to get their money out of Northern Crock when the credit crunch hit.

The chap in the Post Office told me about the queues. He read about it on a PO forum and forums don't lie laugh Mind you it took him 15 mins to do mine, so 2 hours would only be 8 people laugh

In one of the expat newspapers; Britons living in France will be able to continue to drive on their UK driving licences in the event of a no-deal Brexit, the French government has announced.

I imagine that would include visitors, we shall see.

No need to worry now that the B word has been put off again ,at least till after the race weekend.

Unless it's the first of June. Either way no need to sort an IDP or green card in the next 3 weeks before going to Spa

Yep, looks like i've been ripped off and shafted again by this country believing I voted in something that's not going to happen,
Wasted money on an IDP and new passport following advice and rules.
Pity our politicians don't follow rules bunch of s rage

The IDP is valid for 3 years, so you might need it, depending if anything does or doesn't get sorted out in the meantime laugh

And unless you were only renewing your passport on the grounds we were now free to have blue ones again (despite the colour of passports being 100% down to the issuing country so the only thing stopping us having blue ones was the UK government deciding to change them to red in 1988) we'd have to assume your old one had less than 6 months left on it anyway.

In the latter case the only money you lost is down to the UK government changing its policy back in 2018 to NOT carry over any remaining months on your old passport.

In the former case, well that's your own fault.

I expect we'll see the end of the DFS sale first. I don't expect to see either in my lifetime.
