After emailing Jack, I do feel a little miffed by the response/decision of not allowing a 1989 Toyota MR2 mark1 to be displayed... yet allowing much more modern stuff in to the display area. Most of the German marques mentioned can be seen in any out of town shopping outlet most weekends around the country!

So my 33 year old MR2 isn't old enough for a classic car show?

Silverstone Social Classic Cars - "Silverstone Social was started by Ex Racer Scott Temple. All meets held in and around the Silverstone area, the Club caters for a mixture of Cars 20 Years old and over or anything rare and interesting"

Shame they get to attend. I'll have to go with a club that is allowed in instead.

I've just emailed Phil back, and I put my hands up as it was a mistake on my part! We most definitely will allow your MR2s to park with us, I read his email too quickly and missed where he had said Mk1, so I do apologise for the confusion on my part.

I'll update the list now accordingly, and hope to see you both at the event.

"Mercedes AMG" is a little nebulous, could you expand please?

We're thinking anything with AMG model designation (A35/45, C43/63, E63, G63 etc etc), not the "regular" Mercedes range. Obviously we'd love any classic Mercedes stuff there too, and there will be some exceptions that don't fall into a set category, so if in doubt drop me a PM and we can discuss. smile

Thanks!

Hi James.
I have a 1993 VW Corrado VR6 that I have owned for over 16 years and would like to display it on the Piston heads stand if at all possible. I am available to display for all 3 days. I have displayed with the Silverstone Social classic car group at both 2018 and 2019 shows but they don't seem to be commiting to a stand in 2020 and besides, I love the location of the piston heads stand. My car is not listed but it is fabulous. Lol! Please let me know asap before I try to book and thanks.

£43 was the early bird price I believe. I guess booking now and later has price increases.

I think I saw an email VERY recently about extending early bird (I suspect bookings have completely dried up).
I don't know if £43 was Early or Super-Early bird
