Any PHers out there travelling with TL this year and have a handle on their policy or terms if the event is cancelled / moved?

My group is going with them - tickets & camping (as I believe they have done for a few years) and I was lucky enough to get a slot on the trip this year (first timer!) but as far as I can see, they’ve been backward in coming forward so far with clear guidance on their policy re possible cancellation / moving the event. Does not inspire confidence I’m afraid...

Anyone know anything, or perhaps even someone from TL themselves on here who can give offer a bit of clarity?

I remain optimistic that I’ll see my first sunset at Le Mans in the flesh this year but it does feel a bit like we are just in the rolling foothills of Covid-19’s far reaching disruption...

I imagine they are as concerned as all of us, and in the dark as we are about the race!
It seems that there will be a decision about the race on the 15th
https://www.lemans.org/en/news/pierre-fillon-we-ar...

It suggests that there will be a race at some point this year if June does not happen.

They will give you information when they know. At the moment no body knows and things change daily so they cant update you. Everyone is in the same boat regardless of who you booked with or if you booked direct regardless of where in the world you are.

I get that and hear what you say although I do think a statement from them would be helpful - as I see 1st Tickets have done on here, looking after their clients and proactively communicating updates when they can.

I think 1st tickets has made statements is because it caters for more races than just the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 1st Tickets has races that are already effected.
Team L only does the 24 Hours and I imagine as there is no official news on that yet they are waiting.

I notice this would be your first visit, has the guy who has made the booking spoken to Team L?
Also, if you would have stayed with them before you would know them and understand how difficult this will be for them.

It looks likely that the race will happen at some point this year and hopefully we will all be there to see it, we might just have a few more hours of darkness to deal with, but getting up early to see the cars at sunrise at our favourite corner will be a bit later!

Keep positive, and maybe plan a get together with your chaps for a weekend camping, eating the same food, drink a few beers, listen to Radio Le Mans and plan your return when it does take place.

Thanks for bringing the positivity, in short supply at the moment thumbup

Guess I’m just feeling a bit sorry for myself as it’s (dare I say it hehe) a bucket list trip for me.

Scottish road trip contingency plan being mooted, after all, the world’s still going to keep spinning on its axis.

Statement from them just landed with me.

ACO not cancelling, will let everyone know their plan, possible postponement, or not, by 15/4.

Wait and see.

Iain, Team Langoustine have just sent out a statement on current events following on from a statement they received from the ACO earlier today. Contact your group organiser for a copy.

Basically the joint statement says business as usual, cancellation is out of the question, the ACO reserve the right to postpone and chin up.

As others have said, we're all on an unknown path and many people are navigating new treacherous territory trying to make your holiday happen, so please give a bit of slack and keep positive and constructive. This probably wont be an epic event, but it could be a classic of triumph against adversity. So it's down to us to make the most of the situation.
