November won't bother me, we are in a centrally heated caravan, but I imagine it will decimate tent dwellers. Wet and cold in a damp tent? No ta.
.
It will decimate fan numbers and the unique atmosphere too, hence I'll give it a miss and watch it on tv - at least I'll get to see more of the race itself

There will be an awfully large part of the race in the dark if it's November.

A few of our group will travel regardless whenever it’s on, I’d be there November for sure.

After 34 years it'd be daft not to go, if I'm allowed, but I'll miss the weather and the "longest day" effect.

They need to get this vaccine off the ground beforehand. Not impossible

With a very large part of the fun of Le Mans being just sitting in my chair, drinking beer or vin rouge and having french cheese while enjoying the sun on my face, I think I'll give a November race a miss.
If that happens, I'll organise a Le Mans weekend at my place with beer, vin rouge and cheese, and a nice warm place to watch Eurosport.
For good measures I'll install my gazebo on the balcony, so whoever wants to endure the outdoors is free to do that.

If they run it in November there won't be a problem of any trees getting in the way of the viewing evilrofl

Are the ACO really that pig headed to run the race in November in the cold and rain? Apart from the hours and hours of dark running, there will be a high chance of repeating rain or even sleet meaning long safety car periods. Plus trying to switch on tyres in the cold.Couple that with a massive reduction in spectators and it makes no sense at all.

Its part pigheadedness, and part economic necessity.

But the "just sitting in my chair, drinking beer or vin rouge and having french cheese while enjoying the sun on my face", is half the fun, and will be available in the UK, with last years race in full from youtube. Not so sure about the French cheese though

If I could afford to get a motor home I'd be up for le mans in November.

But as a budget tent dweller I don't think I'd be brave enough. What time would sunset be? Around 5pm? Makes a very long night!

Believe me you dont want to be in a tent.

Saying that I was there in December and it was mild last year. Usually its baltic though.

Was in the caravan at Silverstone in September. It was cold at night outside. There were a considerable number of envious looks at our van.

Le Mans in November under canvas will only be for the foolhardy or brave!

What month is it possible to get some frost on the ground in Le Mans? I couldn't imagine slow zones being activated so the gritters could come out.

Sounds like our group is on the verge of "cancelling"...it'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Won’t happen but I’d go any month it’s on and stay in a tent, don’t bother me at all 👍

They want somebody else to make the decision so they aren't seen as the bad guys and be financially liable. I can see them postponing and postponing and postponing until it becomes completely impossible to fit the race into the new Hypercar season.
