grrr i think I've watched the ant and dec af and clio add thousand times now on Eurosport ad breaks
The very reason I paid a month's subscription to eurosport player, so I could watch it without adverts! To be fair, I got it to watch the bike 24h originally, but not having adverts has been great. mstrbkr said:
Don’t you think people tried? When someone has done something that appears to you to be really stupid, there is always a logical explanation.
As someone pointed out in this very thread, watching Eurosport via amazon did not provide the option for uninterrupted.
Read his post, he said he used a monthly Euro sport player sub, as did I , and avoided all the adverts. I don't assume someones stupid, but quite often if you wait, confirmation comes along !!!As someone pointed out in this very thread, watching Eurosport via amazon did not provide the option for uninterrupted.

Woops Hold my hands up to that one.
Agree with the post about, £9 on the WEC app or website was simply awesome value for the 18 hours I watched.

I might try that next year, I used the Eurosport month pass so got uninterrupted stream with RLM, but at times some of the Le Mans "ads" were getting pretty tiresome, that and having to try and sync the two streams, which seemed to get worse and worse through the race.My dogs went mad every time the vw night vision ad came on, couldn't work out what was going on until I actually watched it.
22 hours in Eurosport were explaining what the 3 lights on the side of the car were for and were clearly a bit tired as they kept catching each other out. I preferred the picture via Sky on the big screen and the WEC feed on the phone. I think it was Bruno the track commentator on the French audio and he was great at following what was actually happening rather than tweet harvesting.
Unfortunately my wife now has had 1664, merguez, big screen, no queues for the loo, comfy bed

I thought the Eurosport commentary was dire! Quite a lot of the time it's like they weren't watching the race that they were commenting on. And I'm not a fan of Tom Gaynor's delivery.
I appreciate that they were on all night, with short breaks, but if that's a paying job you have to be on the ball...

WEC app was well worth it for £9, uninterrupted pictures and decent commentary for the periods when RLM were getting the balance of blether and race coverage out of line.
Yep, worked very well for me too and I did the same as you, switched between RLM commentary on Sonos/TV muted, then WEC app commentary.I left my chromecasting from my iPad to TV for the full 24hrs and it never dropped/slowed down or glitched once. Very impressive.
I leant my login to my brother and Dad too; there was no problems with three people logged-in/watching coverage from three different locations in UK.
RLM. Could not find it on FM at all here at Le Mans. An old LM driver and journalist told me they were broadcasting from Corby this year, so perhaps there was no RLM on site. I assume you all were streaming it. I never want to go through another year like this one though. The Marie Celeste.
I think the only people on site were the couple of Eurosport pit reporters, all the other commentators were at their homes.
RLM said something about their FM transmitter being somewhere that would be out of bounds to the TV people so they couldn't ask someone who was going to be there anyway to set it up etc.

There won’t have been RLM being transmitted on FM with this years situation. I don’t think they were even physically there. I picked it up via TuneIn app.Though to be honest, I stuck with the WEC app team in the end. I found myself getting a bit worn out with the RLM coverage, with Hindhaugh particularly getting on my nerves.
I don’t mind the memorial roll call before the start, but it was virtually up to the race start where perhaps a bit more coverage of what’s going on and build up would be nice. I also find it hard to believe he can’t get through it without choking up quite so much, every single time.
At the circuit I’d say RLM in brilliant, but perhaps that’s because your choice is that or nothing.
Me and my crew had a fairly good crack at making it at least feel like Le Mans... setting up in a friends garden, we made the most of the weather with the TV outside, RLM streamed over Eurosport, plenty of beer, cooked everything on the BBQ, watched till late chatting rubbish and camped in the garden (cold!). Woke up and repeated until the reality of it being a Sunday in the UK dawned.
The race wasn’t a classic in my opinion, lacking some of the overall battles that you get really stuck into, although apart from not having to queue for showers and the toilets, even the hangover and today’s exhaustion feel like Le Mans weekend happened but...
I sincerely hope things are back to normal for 2021 though, it’s my favourite event of the year and there is so much we missed about the weekend not being in France.
Anyone know when the ACO will contact member to notify them tickets are on sale for 2021?

They were not on site Graham Goodwin said that the app commentators were the only ones there... Eurosport were in Londonmw88 said:
Really missed the sound of the Corvettes this year.
Hoping the new hyper car rules next year bring some decent competition back at the top, and Peugeot returning for 2022. LMP1 has been struggling for years, but only 5 cars this year is sad.

My mate and I rented a house in Brackley - just seemed near enough to both homes and a bit away from it all.
Had a brilliant weekend from Thursday to Sunday - ate too much, drank too much, had a big TV etc
Another of our group watched it on TV and enjoyed it that way so much he asked if we could rent a UK house next year and do Le Mans that way instead.
Non, ce n'est pas possible
