Le Mans photo request

I’m moving house shortly and am planning a garage project with a Le Mans theme.

My plan is to have a wall mural at the back of the garage - about 10ft wide by 8ft tall. I’m a huge Le Mans fan so I want an atmospheric Le Mans shot for the mural.

I’m no photographer, I’ve searched online and can’t find anything to my liking!

The kind of photo I’m looking for would be a shot up the main straight from the Ford Chicane exit with various classes of car in it, or a sunset shot at Arnage, or a shot of glowing brakes at Mulsanne corner .... something like that.

If any PHers have something suitable please could you upload them here? I would ultimately need a high res version as it’ll become a large image and I am of course happy to pay for the right photo.

Mine won't be the best but is this perhaps the style you are looking for? I do not have many of pit straight, but plenty of Mulsanne bend and Indianapolis.

Perhaps you could use photo's of a favourite Le Mans area .. mine would be Indianapolis corner ..

That’s brilliant, thank you. I’m moving into the property in a few weeks, few jobs on the house first then I’ll start the garage project and will be in touch.

I've been trying to get the pictures you've described ever since I started going to le mans! Below are a few, but probably not what you are after.





If you don't find anything here, I recommend having a look at some of the picture libraries.

Otherwise I'm sure someone like Drew Gibson must have something like what you after, he has some awesome shots. Check out the second image in the wec gallery below.

I don't think people realise how difficult some of these photos are. You've got the limited public access, and after a few Kronenbergs, everything's moving. Every now and again you get a gem
