Any news yet? It'll be French home time shortly, or are they still out at luncheon?
(I've 90% written off the idea of attending, but it would be nice to know if the option to go will even exist...)
Lunch is from 10am - about 3pm depending on the amount of wine that's been drunk. (I've 90% written off the idea of attending, but it would be nice to know if the option to go will even exist...)

If you are holding a 2020 voucher, your order will be processed automatically before tickets go on sale based on your 2020 voucher and adapted to the 2021 organisation.
If you have a voucher from the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans but can’t make it this year, simply fill in the refund application here.

Tickets go on general sale at 10:00 CEST on Monday 21 June. ACO members can book their tickets from 17 June, 10:00 CEST.

Attendance will be limited to approximately 50,000 (20% of the usual capacity) and spectators will be required to present the health passport introduced by the French Government on 9 June. By reducing capacity and using the health passport, we can host a premium-quality event safely.

The circuit will be open to spectators from Wednesday 18 August for the first free practice sessions. Several campsites and car parks will be available.

In the event of a government-enforced cancellation or another closed-door event, all spectators will be refunded.
The potentially more interesting bit for those who have vouchers and where travel restrictions and quarantine are deal-breakers:ACO said:

What's a health passport? Are they just for French citizens, do they not apply to Brits or is that a way of saying that only Lowdrag is welcome?

I'm assuming, perhaps naively that the NHS app produces similar. It certainly shows a QR code.
It is with a heavy heart i’m resigned to missing another year. With tickets actually going to be available that is very painful to take. A variety of factors, not least the ongoing uncertainty means i’m not sure I want to commit. Useless Condor Ferries also means I’d have to leave on the Sunday morning also to get home.
It would end up being a compromised trip with all the hassle of covid passports on top. I’m not even sure whether there would be a quarantine requirement when I got home, which if so makes it a total non-starter. I don’t want to book with that doubt lingering.
Had it been a normal 2021, the event would have been a scorcher this weekend by the look of it.
I hope to get back in 2022 with a normal June routine.
UPDATE… I’d currently have to isolate until day 10 negative test result received coming back from France, whether or not I’ve had both vaccines. I’m not sure I’d want to gamble on that changing before August. Nail in coffin.
Further update… literally just announced with full vaccination you would only need to isolate until day 0 negative test. This obviously makes it harder to accept not booking, but also how quickly situation can change, with possibility of going the other way.
Basically trying to make it seem okay in my head not to do everything to be at the race
