2021 - Don't get too excited
Discussion
I'm still (foolishly?!) planning to go if the quarantine is dropped and as things have changed with Brexit...
This is for things that are NOT related to Covid!
I need a green card for the insurance for the car
Do I still need an International Driving Permit? I got one for last year but it's expired as my licence was renewed in that period
Think that's about it, but if anyone else has anything I've missed I'd be grateful

Logging into the my account site - https://account.lemans.org/en/profile/infos - has no "my tickets" or anything, but clicking on through as if I want to buy more tickets eventually leads to https://ticket.lemans.org/en/my-commands, which shows my previous orders.
This always throws me, but you have to go to the ticketing site, https://ticket.lemans.org/en/24h-lemansThen log in and within your drop down you can then see My Orders. This is where I've printed my order from this year which can be sent back via email to confirm tickets. I had an email response this morning that this confirmation can be sent back up to one week before the event as we've a couple of people uncertain due to green/amber/amber-plus status of France.

Lots of news today saying France will go back to Amber at the next government review (on the 2nd I think). Obviously speculation but the speculation seems to have been accurate recently. This would make things much easier and cheaper in my case at least. Fingers and toes crossed!

EU and US travellers to the UK don't need to quarantine, not UK citizens returning home.
The problem for us is that France is on Amber Plus (they describe it as 'ad hoc'!) which means we all need to quarantine if we go to France. My understanding of the other news is that people who have double vax which was NOT in UK no longer have to quarantine when coming to the UK, previously it was only if you'd had double vax in UK.
Of course I may have that wrong, or indeed it may have changed as I've been typing!
Hope to see some of you there if the rules allow - I'll be the one with a face mask
Yes we briefly got excited then read it and meh.
We need this Orange Plus nonsense to go. It seems from reading that the government have a quandry. Spain is higher, so either Spain needs to go on it, or France off it. Most papers are predicting off next week apart from the independent....

I saw this in the local paper, getting temporary staff during August in France appears to be a challenge

There is also a distinct lack of marshals and other officials it seems. One chief marshal is still awaiting news from the ACO as to whether he has more than the two qualified marshals on his post.
But on another tack, I hope that people have not got tickets to camp at Beauséjour this year. i'm just home having passed by and it is full of pie keys and the grass is a yard high.

Update on ACO:
WHAT RULES APPLY TO FOREIGN VISITORS?

Non-European spectators must have a PCR or antigen test less than 48 before arriving in France*.
A charge applies to tests for spectators who do not have a French social security card (€49 for a PCR test and €29 for an antigen test)*.
