Just watching on Eurosport. Are the practice sessions behind closed doors?

I believe some parts of the main straight that are usually full of people are closed off.

The stands looked fairly full for the Hyperpole session.

There's only 50k people there so plenty of room to spread out.

I doubt there's 50k there, because there seems to be a lot of tickets still available.

Such a shame.

I’m here. Everything’s open.

The bars at Mulsanne were virtually empty. Saw a couple of Dutch marshals and they commented the same. Locals are saying that there seem to be more Dutch and Germans than Brits this year. Driving down the back road from the MMA stadium to Beauséjour the traffic was minimal.

Had a wonderful day yesterday. The Le Mans Legends especially were ace, Bentley LMP car, Porsche GT1, Maserati MC12, multiple DBR9, etc. Visiting their paddock today.
Especially in the evening more people than I was expecting, many French families. A pleasing crowd IMO. No yobs. British (and their cars) sadly missed though. Arnage festival much smaller than expected. Spotted a lovely XKSS smile

One thing that has got me excited… realizing the classic is also next year and now plotting to attend both.

We got here yesterday, camping in Bleu Nord is only half full, lots of Dutch/French/German but very few Brit cars to be seen.

Circuit attendance looks good for the Thursday considering they haven't sold out on the 50k attendance.

Had a good wander round some of the stalls and bars in the village last night, good vibes, busy but plenty of room (which nice)

Looking forward to the weekend!

I’m also surprised by the low number of Brits. I knew a lot of people had dropped out, but I’ve barely seen any (also on Bleu Nord).

Definitely less UK visitors and clearly lots of families who have taken the opportunity of the reduced capacity to introduce their children to the race.
In some ways it’s quite a nice atmosphere.
Still seems plenty of food and drink outlets including the tartiflette stall behind tribune 17.

We’ve tried the awful hotel to find it is closed, apparently in preparation for tomorrow.

We have also explored arnarge and mulsanne. They are open and seem to have car parking available.

At Mulsanne we have been told that they are charging for parking, but either that is incorrect or they are collecting cash on the day. No parking passes have been sold as far as we have been able to determine.

I had the marshals round yesterday late afternoon and they were chuckling about the Fun Cup and one car on the Mulsanne losing most of its bodywork, ripped off the chassis by air pressure. so I thought I'd look up this race and learn a bit. I couldn't believe my eyes! €11,500 plus VAT entry fee yikesyikes Is that just for this race or the series?

Hmm - it's coming up as restricted for me (can't watch it).
Could only get the 'Race 1 start' 3 minute video to work.
Any ideas?

Thanks.
I must've been trying to view between live stream and the 'video' which is now available.
Does anyone know if the race itself will be on youtube (albeit a little delayed i.e. hour 1 shown during hour 2)?

No, not on any official channel anyway
