I had the marshals round yesterday late afternoon and they were chuckling about the Fun Cup and one car on the Mulsanne losing most of its bodywork, ripped off the chassis by air pressure. so I thought I'd look up this race and learn a bit. I couldn't believe my eyes! €11,500 plus VAT entry fee Is that just for this race or the series?
That would be just for the Le Mans race.surveyor said:

I'm glad I'm not there. With so few people it looks like there is no atmosphere at all.
Plenty of atmosphere. Everyone here is delighted to be back. May have peaked slightly early this year though. Today has been a trial.Edited by df76 on Saturday 21st August 20:05

A few mates went this year (I couldn't go in the end), just been sent a vid near the grandstand, looks busy enough, although not as busy as it usually is..
Got some pics from friends there and the grandstands were not full and attendance very low compared to previous years. delta0 said:

Out of Houx, turn right to the roundabout at the back entrance, left into the industrial park, and right to the end. There's a restaurant on the there called The Casque. I assume it i open because there are also over 100 bedrooms in the came building. Usually a giant screen in the courtyard too.

The owner Alain is very open to all types. He even put my name up amongst the glitterati in the courtyard so if I am in their it is scruffs paradise.
Indeed we were welcomed, but members of the party felt that a roadside cafe in Arnage was what they wanted. Car spotting was nothing like normal (not helped by the roadworks and red and white barriers), but there were a few cars of interest. Even a rather nice Renault 17!Ben Jk said:
Must admit - looking at footage I am glad we deferred this year and moved our booking to next year. Looks very quiet fans wise which is obviously expected with numbers cap. Whilst I bet the lack of queues etc is nice I think some of the atmosphere would be lost.
I’ve been here, and it’s been great. If you are coming for Mad Friday, then no it wouldn’t have been for you, but the campsite has been friendly as ever, the racing was good and no queues (other than for breakfast in the ACO enclosure) has been great!Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
