I would not mind one of each tongue out - For me although the Agera is a time warping machine, the styling of the zonda does it for me - the rear exhausts oh yeah!

I should start by saying I have been considering getting a Agera R for some time...

For me Pagani lost their way with the Huayra. The Zonda was beautiful (a work of art)...totally bespoke...incredibly fast and sounded awesome.

It was for those who could afford a Veyron but had eyes which functioned properly and were willing to sacrifice some speed. hehe

The Huayra is not beautiful (although still a work of art)...totally bespoke...incredibly fast (but no where near Agera fast) and sounds...different!

With the beauty now lacking (in my opinion) people are turning towards Koenigsegg to provide something which is still totally bespoke and mind bogglingly fast.

I wish the Agera looked better...but all is forgiven when you get in one and start driving. It is an amazing machine (faster in a straight line than the 918/P1/LaFerrari) and with an excellent fit and finish (far better than CCR's!).

I'm hoping to be able to get one by the end of the year - so will keep you updated on my decision!
Any update on 'Egg Acquisition? biggrin Or have you decided its not for you anymore? wink
Don't forget the Zonda was available with a manual transmission AND had a screaming v12 biggrin

Or come over to England one night...I imagine one could (if one was inclined) reach a high speed on this lovely straight Roman road...not that I would know...

I know that bit of road fairly well driving

A friend did cough* 186 cough* on that road recently. I think he's a massive idiot baring in mind its a public road however he's just happy not to get caught (he has an RS6 avant).

I bet you couldnt possibly elaborate to what velocity you had reached along that road? wink
It seems to be a stretch of road that many use for the occasional 'stretching a cars legs' - Was in a friends 458 on it - can be quite fun when the taps are fully open at 730am biggrinbiggrinbiggrindriving

Are you a midlands chap too then? I wonder if it is your F40 I have seen previously? biggrin

Only just read this thread.

The Huayra grew on me looks wise, it's much better in person than in photos, I think, although it's not as special as the Zonda externally.

I've often said if I had Veyron (now Chiron) money to spend on a car, it would be spent at Pagani.

The dynamic aero (when launched) was pretty fabulous and the attention to detail is simply amazing I think.

Koenigsegg cars, I think, look awful, like the plain, dumpy sister, but they share Pagani's single minded attention to detail (in a less aesthetic way) and having learnt a bit more about them and the company I have to admire them, but still, if I had that Bugatti sized car fund, it wouldn't go to Sweden.

Did you get one then? I have started looking at these myself. Quite a few don't seem to like them, like marmite. Seem that people are judging them by the earlier models and issues they had there. But from the Agera onwards that seems a vast improvement. I had a quick sit in one at the weekend, feels quite special from the cabin and gives you the impression the car is bigger than it is.
