Was wondering if anybody knows the silver/black E10R for sale on Collecting Cars?

Looks a lovely example with some great upgrades - brakes, Nitrons, fire extinguisher...etc

The only thing that worries me is an invoice/description of work carried out by FixAuto Hainault Ltd. Their website seems to indicate they are a crash-repair type of outfit.

Could be a completely innocent explanation - FixAuto could have some decent chassis geometry measurement systems, so it would be a good place to set-up your geo on a car such as a E10.

My instincts tell me this is a decent example of the E10 but I was wondering if anybody had any additional info. The VRN is AP66PHY - nothing on HPI to indicate anything untoward.

Hi. That’s just sold. If I’d seen this post earlier I would have tried to put you in touch with the owner.

I would say it was one of the 2 best examples of the Zenos, and sold at a bargain price.

No worries. It did look a cracker of a E10R, though.

Don't know exactly why, but I am drawn to the Zenos range much more than anything else in the same genre.

I love all lightweight sports cars but can't help feeling the E10 really is the spiritual successor/modern day equivalent to the original Lotus 7.

No disrespect to other Lotus models, Atoms, Caterhams....etc. They are all great cars, but the mixture of materials used and clever/ingenious construction of the Zenos is very alluring.

It is an excellent car. I have the base model E10, which lacks the power and torque of the E10R. But it does have similar suspension mods to the example that was in the auction. It is now an excellent track car, but still has decent road manors.
The mid-engined balance and double wishbone suspension make it a very different to the Seven. It rewards a more precise style of driving, rather than tail-happy hooning.
