Yes, that's a 12+23, quick tally up and it's just under 8k for the term or 79p per mile. I've been offered a 3dr auto with almost every option for £9500 with 16k miles (60p per mile) so the cvl deal isn't as cheap as it sounds.
Thanks, that's what I thought. I'll keep reading on but hopefully not lurking on biggrin

So the deal I have been offered is

Passat 150ps Manual
£685 incl VAT upfront
£114.26 per month
2 year deal
5k miles per annum

Please please let me know what you think of this . Really fancied the 190 auto but is this still a cracking deal?
Out of interest, where are you being offered this from??

Cheers,
Grant
Mine was from Central Vehicle Leasing
I called up regarding the Passat at around 12 today for a quote, was told I would be emailed, low and behold get an email at 3pm saying it was priced in error. Arse.

Fairly gutted about this as I had a similar situation regarding the S8 deal last year (their quote went into my spam box, spotted it a week late).

I should really be more on the ball about these...

Just saw this and couldn't see it over the last few pages:

http://www.keyfleetdirect.co.uk/personal-lease-car...

Megane 275 Cup S

9 + 23
£191.99 incl VAT rental per month
£1727.89 incl VAT initial rental
8000 miles per year

Including maintenance.

£6143.66 seems like a stonking price for this?

Ohhhhh, please explain further as I am likely to hand back golf r early due to delivery of an a4 avant ( or highly unlikely an alltrack) a month or two before official end of golf lease
6 months or earlier ramp up your mileage to the amount you need (they will pro rata the months you finish early) the monthly amounts increase to incorporate the new mileage you asked for, they then discount these monthly payments by 45% for early termination, my fee went from 1300 to 700 doing it this way handing back 6 months early and 12k miles over allowance!

Do note... You can't ask for more mileage if your in the last 6 months of your deal.

Didn't you have to pay a portion of those 6 months?

I picked up a stock Passat whateveritscalled with a few options this morning from Stable contracts at £190inc Vat on a 3+23. Seemingly it should have been for stock vehicles. A few new orders got through at the silly cheap prices.

I actually took this to replace the A4 Avant I had on order, as it's a nicer car and about £400 less over the period. It's far less over 2 years than the depreciation if I paid cash.

IMO this works out slightly better value based on the list prices of the two cars - http://www.bluechillicars.com/personal-contract-hi...

Sounds like a ponzi scheme.

In fact, the more I think about and experience it I wonder if VWFS may be a huge Ponzi scheme.

Ok....

Scenario 1:
For example Original monthly is £250, handing back early I get a 45% discount on this monthly amount times by months left.

If I have gone over my mileage I pay 7.2p for every mile in addition to my monthlies.

Scenario 2:

my monthly is £250 but I add on mileage at a discount so they are now say £300 including the extra mileage, I decide to terminate early so get a 45% discount on the £300, but included in the £300 is already a discounted mileage charge, thus I'm getting another discount on the mileage again.

To note, best way to use this is to go massively over your mileage, claim the extra mileage allowance and terminate in the same month, gives you the biggest saving.

No maintenance included though? How much is that worth over the 2 year?

But you are still paying 55% of the remaining 6 months payments to not have a car for 6 months? Or does it work out less than running the car to the end of then contract and paying the excess mileage?

Fair point about the maintenance though probably quite little value over 2 years. 16k miles so 1x service and you probably wouldn't even get through a set of tyres nevermind brake pads etc. 3 years I think it would be worth considering more.

Yes you are paying the remaining, but if you want to get rid of the car it's a cheap exit, i'm sure BMW or Audi aren't as generous, that's why VW leases are the most flexible out there. And yes it was cheaper than running the car to the end by £800!

You're right, I think it's quite a lot better given the extra kit actually.

Is this about normal then, I thought it was a pretty special price!

Isn't that a bit risky - you can't be certain of being offered the discounted extra mileage? I'd never heard of that happening before until you mentioned it.

I'm baffled why VW would do it - what's in it for them? They're throwing money away, which isn't like VW at all - indeed they're notorious for trying to scam customers with trumped up end of lease charges which really piss people off.
