I bought a lovely 07 Z4 3ltr Si for a very fair £7,500. I’m pretty sure I could sell this this on for more when I get bored. Good demand for these on forums from people wanting to buy.
Fun fact, a Z4 is the only car i have ever "made money" on... (£250 if i remember correctly)

Do we think there will be any love for the MK1 TT roadster ? we have had ours 8 years and its on 56k, it was on 49k when we got it ... i'm trying to decide if we move it on and get a better investment car, well i say investment, something we could use and make a few ££'s on.

No. Coupe possibly (but unlikely) but can't see the roadster being collectible.m

I’ve just bought this

Tasteful mods but limited history which is ok as I only put petrol innit. These are climbing in value because they are BMs and everyone loves em. Must be worth 20G at least.

What does everyone tghink about the early Aston V8 Vantage manual? I have one in 2007 flavour which I bought a while back from a friend at a rock bottom price (well, I swapped it for my tricked up Defender). I was thinking of selling it as I am about to have a kid, but it doesn't need to be sold - it will just get used relatively rarely. Storage and maintenance isn't a problem.

Keep or get rid? They are pretty and the design is ageing well, and Aston have done a Ferrari and gone upmarket/expensive. Relatively common, but a lovely thing to drive and be in, and definitely to look at...

Choice is really keep it and buy something cheap as a family London runabout, or sell and get something a bit fruitier for family duties - some sort of RS/AMG V8 estate.

I would keep - you aren't going to lose money on it...

Just read 11pages of this and the obvious are mentioned over and over again...

I didn't see the 200sx s14a / S13 / S15 mentioned at all. Compared to the gtts these are surely a better shout and with some mild mods can make for some serious giant slaying...

As for investment value with the whole drift scene, plus ratiety in manuals I can't see these being a bad bet in fine fettle at all...

Ps yes I am based 😀

Forgot to say mine is a coupe. For the money it’s amazing.
Nice choice. thumbup Based on a forum member's research the UK got less than 2,500 3 litre Coupes, so they are fairly thin on the ground too.

I bought one in June 2014, but fell a bit out of love with it when the electric water pump died in December 2015. Early in 2016 I replied to a post on a forum from someone looking for one and agreed to sell it - for a bit more than I paid for it (But not enough to cover the new water pump)!

Anyway I took it for one last drive and realised I had made a big mistake! banghead

So the next 2 days were spent finding a replacement - which I still have!

It's never going to rocket upwards in value, but they don't seem to be dropping so that's good enough for me!

A Z4M Coupe might be a good prospect for appreciation - they seem to be going up already. And look at what Z3M Coupes fetch now!

I have had a tempting offer for the old (but perfect) E320 W124 convertible I bought a year ago. 60% more than I paid for it. I had meant to keep this car forever, but my mercenary genes are twitching...
