Morning folks, first of all I haven’t currently got 100k budget to spend on some metal, who’s knows someday I may be in the position to do so, what would your spend look like...

I’d personally go

Audi rs6 or Mercedes c63s
Porsche 997turbo or r35 GTR or Audi R8

Or

Bmw m2/m4
Nissan r35 GTR
Porsche 996 turbo

Second option would be squeezing it tight so possibly exchange m2/m4 with a clean e46 m3

10 grand on a 300zx manual.
20 grand on a T6 Transporter.
10 grand on a E38 740i.
20 grand on a track car - probably a Radical or similar.
30 grand on the best Mk2 Escort I could get with the change.

Think that ticks most boxes.

Or

20 grand on an RX7 FC
20 grand on a Range Rover Classic
10 grand on a black Audi S8. And I'd need nitrous.
20 grand on a track car - probably a Radical or similar.
30 grand on the best Mk2 Escort I could get with the change.

Assuming I had the space to keep them (which I do not), my ideal mix in my countryside idyll would be:

Porsche 981 GT4 (65k)
Merc W222 S Class (25k)
Fiesta ST (10k)

Should provide a nice choice for sporty bursts, long distance wafting and buzzing to the shops.

Couldn’t see myself wanting for anything else (except a ceramic pig stuffed with notes to maintain them).

It changes every day. But i'd most likely go for:

997.1 GT3 £85k
Seat Cupra 290 £15k

997 for the weekend blasts and trackdays, Cupra for hot hatch daily driving and a backup track car.

Seems as if most would rather have a few cars over just 100k worth in 1 car, I certainly would rather a few

I like games like this.

If it’s £100k and I have my current fleet, I’d get just the one car, a Ferrari 550.

If I have to get an entirely new fleet:

Daily: Bentley Mulsanne ~£55k
Exotic: Audi R8 manual / Aston Martin DB9 ~£35k
Classic: TVR Chimera/series 3 Land Rover/70-80s Merc SL ~£10k

So much to choose from.

Possibly a V12 vantage with a manual for circa 75k.

An early L405 Range Rover for £25k, or a mint low mileage L322 Westminster.

Or

If I had more space, an R8 V10 manual for £50k

A C7 RS6 for £30k

A £15k Transporter Combi

And a £5k Clio Trophy for track days.

I'd say a V12 vantage manual is a solid investment.

They're not going to make anymore smallish cars with a V12 and a manual box.

100% a guy on the road recently invested in an old classic 911 Carrera, beyond my time so no idea the model lol possibly 964. Who’s knows, got me thinking about how I’d spend a sum like that though

I think a Litchfield GTR running between 700-1000 bhp.
A Cerbera or 5.0 TVR of some sort for the noise.

If there was any change something I wouldn't care about for other duties. Possibly something really boring.

I’d still keep my Series 2 Landie, given I already I own it I don’t need to include it in the £100k... that’s within the rules right? hehe

I’d also keep my Rover 75 Tourer weirdly.

£5k - Jag X350 XJ8 for long distance wafting
£30k - Citroen DS for slow wafting
£5k - Citroen 2cv for slow hooning
£20k - Ford Model T for my “very old” car fix
£10k - MG ZTT 260
£10k - Fiat 500 classic
£5k - Discovery 2 TD5 on trailering duties for most of the above
£15k - RR Shadow I

Most of mine are partly cars I've always wanted (since even the good ones were 'bangers') but are now too expensive for me to afford, and partly cars that won't be getting any cheaper.

Even if I had many millions I would still be buying cars that are appreciating. Not least because moderns generally aren't involving for me, cost a mint to maintain, and lose value unless they're limited run exotica - which I wouldn't want to drive much on public roads in normal use anyway.

£50k on waterproofing the barn

And then 7 interesting £7k cars from the classifieds.

I am almost there with mine. Total spend/value:

- Modified Elise S1 Sport 160 - £30k
- Modified Porsche 996 C2 - £30k
- Caterham Superlight - £20k
- Modified E36 - £8-10k

Add a Mégane RS or other interesting FWD hot hatch for £5-10k. Alternatively I liked my Forester STI with a few tweaks at the £15k mark.
