Oh I've got a strong hankering for a Citroen XM 2.5TD at the moment, so knock a couple of grand off the Mk2 Escort budget to afford that one too biggrin

I think in reality I'd need

10k for a factory unit to store the cars in
40k working capital for some project spend
10k for something to smoke about in and tow a trailer
10k for a lightweight track car
and the rest to replace my wages while I fiddled around on over-ambitious project car builds.

Today it would be:

S2 Exige S £30k
MX5 NA track car £10k
MX5 NA Road Car £5k
Fiat 500 (original version) £10k
Pug 106 Rallye £10k
Skoda Superb Estate 280 £20k
Jaguar XKR Coupe (first shape) £15k

Think that would keep me happy for a while.

Lovely cars! Assuming the nitrous is a reference to Ronin, in which case I have to inform you that the film car is actually green wink

Gah! You've ruined it now.

Ah well, I'll have Jason Statham's one then. And still add nitrous.

A fast road setup 60s/70s: Alpine A110/Fiat Abarth 695SS/Hillman Imp

Daily: 5dr Fiesta ST with softened ride setup/smaller rims for improved comfort.

Kombi van

KTM 950SM
Early Fireblade

New mountain bike
New Road bike
New gravel bike

Ps. I would like an air-cooled Porsche 911, but the prices are just silly.

Changes regularly, but at the moment I’d take an Alpina B3 Bi Turbo and pocket the remaining £20k for running costs.

I could happily blow the lot, or most of it on one car, a Gordon Keeble GT....

Assuming I can keep my current fleet I’d buy an F430 and stick the rest in a war chest for teething issues.

Always fancied one of those! Not many unmolested ones available in UK now though I suppose a sift through a Japanese used car site would cure that.

My list would start with fulfilling the childhood dream with a 3.0 GTV6, probably around 35k I think.

Next up, need a daily family car, so either an XE-S or a Giulia Veloce. Safe budget I suppose around 25k

Then I need some kind of convertible. If I could find one with the remaining 40k, I'd get a 348 Spider

If I can't get one in budget then, I'm not sure. Maybe I go for 4 seats with an XKE convertible, or a well specced Rocketeer Mk 1 MX5, or some or other Merc perhaps.....

Or maybe I'd buy another childhood hero instead:

or an S4 perhaps. Would have to try both out first hehe

Mercedes Marco Polo AMG Line spec for family duties, day van, camping and daily use

With the change I'd find the best example of a 997.2 Carrera 4S in black.

Depends if I was keeping my current fleet (981 GT4 and A3 diesel daily) I would add a Caterham.

If I was given £100k the GT4 would turn into a 991.2 GT3 manual. I saw a lovely red one sell on Instagram over the weekend. I would still add a caterham. Not to bothered about the daily as it does what it does well and not sure if it’s worth chucking money at. I’d like a Yaris GR or Fiesta ST but dont think they would be the best on the motorway. I’d rather spend money on the toys.

Since I only have 1 space on the drive it would have to be an all rounder, which actually makes it even harder. The new NSX would seem like a relatively sensible but left field choice at that price range.

I've actually done this a couple of years ago - I was fortunate to have £100k available following a lucky share investment. None of these were new vehicles:

BMW 535d £35k
Late L322 Rangerover 4.4 TDV8 £20k
Toyota GT86 plus some tuning £16k
Iveco 7.5ton horse lorry £23k
BMW GS310 Adventure motorbike £3k

The GT86 is being swapped for a GR Yaris in few months so at that point I will have bust my self imposed £100k budget on the fleet. I'm very happy with the huge spectrum of ability covered. I wouldn't want any more because honestly the faff of staying on top of insurance, servicing, MoT's etc etc is just a burden.

BMW E39 M5 in Imola Red circa £15k
Mercedes W140 S500 circa £10k

And a Peugeot 107. No seriously. I love these little things, we now have two of them!
