Interesting read for people interested in the Omoda 5. It's having insurability and repair issues, they are having to change components and how it’s manufactured.

If I've not got finance papers/reg/vin by 14 December I'll consider my options.
If central have said it's built, call their bluff and request vin.
I spoke to Bluechilli last Monday. I was told car was being built that week, and delivery pencilled for last two weeks in December. Going to chase them for another update. If central have said it's built, call their bluff and request vin.

Interestingly, we're taking delivery of a BMW in the coming days. Had to sign a form showing how much commission the dealership will get via the PCH deal we secured. In 10+ years of leasing, we've never done that. Must be from the recent cases.
Same here for my new lease car, first time I've ever seen this in the 12 years I've been leasing.imdeman87 said:

Would you mind sharing the deal you got on your BMW? I'm looking to replace my current BMW but all the personal leases look to be insanely expensive.Amateurish said:
My new Lexus NX 450h is arriving next week. Very excited. £11k over the two years - 22%
I got mine last week its nice car, insurance was a nightmare to sort out, its the latest model so I thought had all the security fixes but for some reason loads of places wouldn't insure it, where as NX450h+ registered earlier in 2024 were fine. The comparison sites quote but when you click through to go to the insurer site its then declined. I'm nearly 50, max no claims, clean licence, live nice area car on drive but still ended up being thick end of a couple of grand to insure. I'm within the M25 though so may be that's the issue.Edited by PostHeads123 on Friday 29th November 10:52

Whats was the deal and from where if you dont mind? Been looking for a 7 seater for a while now
Its initial rental 981 managed to get the dealer to give me 250 off that and then 35 month at 381 with 10K miles.. SE model and standard blue so basic model 20TDI DSg ordered in Octoebr and delivery expected February. spoke to other dealers and they couldn't match that but check cars2buy web site and enter above criteria you will get a quote that nearly matches that.
Also kodiaq not bad here but there's a fee so worth checking with dealers

Tesla Y RWD Long Range 10k miles 36mo £500 down is £468 / month on PCH from Tesla.
Leaseloco and Leasing.com are both showing nearly £100 more per month with the same duration and mileage.
Is there a catch that I am missing?
No catch, one is a broker trying to make money, the other is the manufacturer trying to shift units. Leaseloco and Leasing.com are both showing nearly £100 more per month with the same duration and mileage.

I've just been offered a BMW i5 Touring e drive 40, M Sport Pro with met paint, with sun protection glass and tech pack.
3 + 23. £2256 + 23 x £752.22
10k pa.
No fees as via dealer, so amortised £19,557.
That's against a list of £84k, so around 23% or so.
That's on a stock car.
That is ridiculous pricing….lost price is irelevant in my view as it’s overpriced to begin with. 3 + 23. £2256 + 23 x £752.22

I'd never in a month of Sundays do it or even consider it as a personal lease.
It only works as a company car with a vat reg'd company paying the lease, which was the basis of my enquiry with them.
It's like £1850 + vat then £625 pcm + vat.
Agree on the overpricing of the RRP / list price.......
